It's not all aircrafts that carry data and voice recorders because the equipment is very expensive in most developed countries only planes that carry above 16 passengers and they are commercial,all planes are mandated to have a transponder which sends a ping that to show position for the air craft.And this aircraft being military less hope it was carrying data and voice recorders and that they were recovered safely for engineers to analyse.On top of that service records, communication between pilots and traffic control also plays a big role in investigation.
