The women in Nixon's life - his mother and his wife - clearly were a huge influence and comfort for him. His sobbing grief at the funeral of Pat Nixon was very obvious.

He seemingly did if you study his post-presidency years. Probably the happiest he ever got to be.

Anyone who has read into Nixon will know that he may be the most intelligent president of all time, dubious morality but insanely smart.

I think Nixon fell to the same forces that hounded Trump and Reagan. He was on to the secret societies and swamp creatures and they rallied to cast him out.@@elizajayne2888

Nixon had this disturbing ability to be such a lying scoundrel and crook. And then at the same time, have these beautiful and profound sentiments. Such a complicated man, but I love this speech

He was basically a real life two face, I think very deep down he wasn’t that bad, but he expierienced so much damn hate he decided not to ignore it and instead deflect it back

Nixon wasn’t a bad President. In fact he’s easily one of the better policy Presidents, and maybe the most intellectual on foreign policy that there’s ever been. He gets judged for one thing, when other Presidents have done MUCH worse.

Had Nixon been rated based on his achievements alone (like the opening to China, establishment of the EPA, lowering the voting age to 18,......), he would've been ranked as among the great presidents of the 20th century, right up there with FDR, Teddy Roosevelt, Eisenhower, and Truman. Unfortunately, because of Watergate, he doesn't even rank as average. According to C-SPAN Presidential Survey conducted last year, even his successor, Jerry Ford, scored higher in the overall rankings despite being in office for just under 2 1/2 years.
