I saw that Niu is not using the Bosch motors in the 2022 versions. That is making me loose some confidence in the bike. Any opinions?

Just a thought....the chinese have used bosch motors for a long time. Enough time to develop an excellent, let's call it, own interpretation of this very motor. For 2022 it's more powerfull than the original bosch. Featured scooter here doesn't use panasonic batteries anymore as well. Only the long range version still uses them. ....only time wil tell how all this will work out😁

Here's my take. I own the GT-S, and I've done a lot of back and forth comparisons with this model and the GT. It seems the engineers at NIU decided to "overbuild" their original GT specs with larger wheels, higher output motor and an overall higher top speed (48 mph - GT, and 55 mph - GT-S). Interestingly enough, here in the U.S., the faster model sells for about $800 less. One other difference I've noticed: the GT model switches over to E-Save mode at 15% battery capacity, while the GT-S allows you to ride in either Dynamic or Sport mode all the way down to 10%. I work at a scooter and motorcycle shop, so I've had the access to gain more insight.

Both motors carry the same two year warranty. I've enjoyed my GT-S for four months. So far, no complaints.

@@float558 much appreciated. Im getting mine on the 21 Aug. Here in Spain we are getting a 1100€ subsidy from the government for electric bike from "125cc" and up.
