Hi, I took apart the little windshield and I think the design is the same in production models, or I don't see any noticeable difference. But it didn't break. Nonetheless the windshield broke when screweing back too tight with my airtag hidden behind. Link in the next comment, just in case it gets deleted.

Seems like the link did not get posted. Can you try again, would be curious to see how the production unit compares. Thx.

@@CarolaClavo I guess that is some YT spam protection at work. Thanks for trying though :) Wanted to ask NIU about it if I could show them a comparison.

Hot to turn of the AIR to prevent power consumption? I could not find any setup to prevent draining the battery

If its turned off with the nfc card I have not noticed any significant power drain, the only system that is on I think is the Bluetooth, which should not have a huge drain on the battery. How long did you not ride it and what was the % power loss?

I was just away for 5 days and my KQi Air definitely did not drain that much. I might try and test it to get exact numbers when I go for holiday or daily test a different scooter. Did you try and contact NIU about what the expected power drain should be? I think 20% in a week is not normal.

@@Lantea13 no - i only asked how to turn of the Escooter completely - this is not possible - so you kill the battery during 4 months of wintertime - you should not store any battery at 0%

It would certaily be a nice feature if you could disable all passive power drain systems throught the app, so that they only activate once you unlock with the nfc card. Alternatively; when you first get the scooter it has transport mode activated, I think a lot of riders would love to see NIU create a way to activate this mode when you need to store the scooter over winter, or even when you need to transport it yourself for service or when you move, etc.

No, I have not checked, but if enough people are curious I might do a video taking a look under the deck. But that will probably still not tell you the exact cells used.

@@Lantea13 so i hope, more people are interested. ----- beside some interesting Info: der KQI Air does only have tubeless tires and not selfrepair tires - some guys on youtube gave a false information that NIU KQI Air will have self repairing tires - that is not true. - i just chatted therefore with NIU support

@@Cool-ng5rh You are correct the KQi Air does not have self-healing tyres. NIU told me that is because they wanted to save on weight to make the scooter as light as possible. Personally I would rather have the pre-slimed tyres :)

@@Lantea13 this will be additional 2x60 Gramm so it is no more under 12 kg - but it is necessary to have a relaxed drive in my opinion - nothing sucks more than a broken tire on the. Trip
