I have a really old NiCd charger that works well with new NiMh, batteries only get slightly warm yeah, but most NiCd chargers don;t work for NiMh been looking at the UMS4 charger and it does NiMh & LiIon - WOW! I've heard that Nitecore is good quality

looking at this version compared to Nitecore D4 Digicharger Universal Charger that I have just now realizing that it also don't support 21700 ..... but I been charging them for years with it so I believe this also does support it but probably best not to mix other types while charging ... but hey what do I know ?

How long takes charging a 4 battery’s 18650 in same time? And it’s stops automaticly if he is full charging? Or i need to watch out always to look when he is 100% ?

It stops charging automatically. Hard to say exactly as there are various specs for these batteries, but a few days ago I charged four 18650 with a lowish power left in them in around 3-3:30 hours. The batteries I mentioned are 3100 mAh with 10A continuous discharge.

Does it charge 18650 and 21700? I vape and have been using the Nitecore I2 for the last few years and need a replacement. Was also thinking of Nitecore's Q2 or Q4 as well. Any suggestions?

Doesn't look like it will charge 21700. "The SC4 charger is compatible with the following Li-ion/IMR/LiFePO4 batteries: 10440, 10500, 12340, 12500, 12650, 13450, 13500, 13650, 14350, 14430, 14500, 14650, 16500, 16340 (RCR123), 16650, 17350, 17500, 17650, 17670, 18350, 18490, 18500, 18650, 22500, 22650, 25500, 26500, 26650. In addition, the following NiMH (NiCd) cells can be used: AA, AAA, AAAA, C and D."

I think the best charger for 21700 is nitecore ums4 its higher class than q4 and the price comparison is something for example if q4 is 30$ ums4 will be 40$ i think the best for you is to go for the ums4

@@tdcattech many thanks I’m hoping new charger will solve problems as got my Epipe other day with new 18350 cells but am having trouble with it where it flashes telling me voltage low so put batteries into another nitecore charger and the voltage in batteries appears to be higher than the low charge voltage stated in Epipe manual yet on the nitecore digicharger Low lights up on display against one of the cells so am thinking thd SC4 and another new set of 18350,s way to solve the problem going forward

Can it discharge NiMH / NiCd batteries?

Doesn't look like it unfortunately. I'd really like to find something that can refresh/test NiMH cells that has a nicer interface than my Lacrosse BC-700.

So happy this is less than $40 in the U.S. Great bang for the buck as they say.

I have the nitecore D4 and 5 VC4 from xStar. I found out that xstar doesn't charge the batteries 100% and the nitecore does absolute 100% I'm throwing my xstar vc4 away and getting another 3 nitecore but I need one that charges D and C batteries

Hi do you recommend this over UM4 or UMS4? thanks

Have you tried to charge 18650 litium batery with 4,2 volts? Otherwise nice rewiew🙂

Yes, they work fine. I’ve only done two at a time but they are instantly recognised and charged successfully.

The internal resistance is in Mili Ohm, not Mega Ohm. Thanks for your video.

tried charging a pair of li-lon batteries and they exploded. turns out they were .44 magnum cartridges. jolly good vodka.
