The next-generation, 2023 Nissan Pathfinder recently arrived on the Australian market, entering the highly competitive Large SUV segment against the likes of the Toyota Kluger, Hyundai Palisade, Mazda CX-9 and others.
But with eights seats as standard, the penultimate Pathfinder variant tested here, the Ti, also finds itself going tyre to tyre with the practicality hero of the People Mover class, the Kia Carnival.
So, in this expert review, Contributing Journalist Emily Agar finds out if the Pathfinder Ti has what it takes to tackle three-row family life, deep-diving just how practical - and well-featured - the eight-seater is (spoiler alert: it stacks up really well).

It comes with a five year unlimited km warranty, whichever comes first. My guess is the five years would come first.
I still choose KIA telluride and Toyota highlander 👍👍🙂🙂 and hyundai palisade

There is a reason Nissan only sold 188 new Pathfinders in Australia in 2022. There are much better cars in the market in Australia; this SUV is 10 years behind. No, Toyota has nothing to worry about. The updated 2023 Kluger with 2.4T engine and 2.5i hybrid engine will dominate this sector.
70k and you get a pov little infotainment screen (can get bigger on xtrail and qashqai), no digital dash?

@@Richard-sl8we I know that! It was a joke because I don’t think it’s worth 70k. If you can get a Kia Sportage or Sorrento with more features for cheaper, I don’t get how they justify that price.
Order mine back in Aug 2022... still waiting with no new updates. Stay clear of this "arriving in 2022" SUV.
No one buying an overpriced and cheaply built Toyota Kluger over this gorgeous and premium SUV. 😂
