Pulled mine in about 3 hours out the top by myself. Torque converter bolts are 14mm not 16mm. There’s no fly wheel, it’s a flex plate. You also need to erase and rewrite the CVT IP Chara to the TCM.

Thank you for all of the great information! I know I had some of the terminology incorrect I wish there was a easier way to go back and edit the video maybe I can add some cards to correct those few things. I wish I would have tried pulling it from the top but I was not sure that was going to work! Also I have since sold the Altima and I did not rewrite the CVT IP. The car drove wonderfully tho after I was finished. We turned the green light on at the auction and didn’t have any issues! Thanks for watching and all the helpful info

Did you change the output and input seal and the torque converter seal

I actually did not. But the car ran great! And we sold it and have not herd anything back about it so I assume it’s still good!

Does the cvt needs programming after replacement? Or Do I just reset the values using scanner ? Getting ready to install a 2012 Nissan Altima cvt tomorrow morning. Thanks

Hey there! So to tell you the truth I didn’t reprogram anything. And I imagine I cleared the codes with my scanner which is just a better then average scanner nothing’s extremely fancy.. the car drove great. Some have mentioned it needs reprogrammed But in my case I was able to just swap the new cvt on and the car drove wonderful for me for about 35 miles to the location of sale. No clue what the state of the car is now. I can try and look up the vin to see where it’s at now for you… but I sold the car with zero issues! Just being honest with my situation. I know I show the removal and installation
