    I'm in the process of rebuilding my neighbors 04 350z I'm fighting with the alternator and the transmission cooler lines that run along side it and near the belt tensioner. My question is were do the hard lines attach to.

    whats the reasoning to even drain the coolamt? does it just help keep it clean when ou removed the hoses on top?

  • @ERICSDIYGARAGE

    @ERICSDIYGARAGE

    8 ай бұрын

    You only need to drain a small amount of coolant if you don't want to do that remove the hose but you will make a bigger mess

    @@ERICSDIYGARAGE now another question, its been a while since ive bled the air out of my system, i do have a spill proof funnel for bleeding the system, but do i need to keep the bleeder valve open while bleeding the air? or do i keep it closed

  • @ERICSDIYGARAGE

    @ERICSDIYGARAGE

    8 ай бұрын

    @autograph415 a spill free funnel will help but it's not nessary. Since you Wong remove all the coolant you will just need to top off. You only really need to bleed the air out when you completely drain the radiator or remove the thermostat. Since it's only a little that you will take out refill and let it get up to temperature than shut it off and let it cool down and top it off again and you should be fine

    @@ERICSDIYGARAGE okay good to know thanks i assumed anytime coolant was readded to the top of the radiator, or hoses were disconnected and reattached that air was automatically in the system and needed drained, thanks
