Nissan 240sx Underbody Restored in 3 mins

Restored this 1994 Nissan 240sx Underbody. This was the worst task I have done ever in my life. I don't wish this upon anyone. The final undercoating spray was Upol White Raptor Bedliner. In the wheel well, I used the Upol gravitex product because it has a more rubbery property which is good against flying rocks. Great job! I'm about to venture on this same path and watching your video is very inspiring. Quick Question I've been thinking about doing something similar with the Rhino/Bedliner. are there any concerns with rust/rot like the older oem weather spray used to cause?

Personally I dont think oem undercoating promotes rust. The issues is the old seam sealers and undercoating cracks because of old age. That exposes bare metal to water and oxygen which causes rust to start. Also flying rocks will slowly chip away at the undercoating which promotes rust. If you have any rust, neutralize it correctly and coat it with all the correct coating. I raptor liner my underbody but then I used the upol gravitex around my wheel well. Reason for that is because it is slightly rubbery which can take impact from flying rocks. The raptor liner is on the harder side and I'm scare it can chip away eventually. If your going to undercoat your underbody. Use the proper stuff like actually undercoating. I only went with raptor bedliner because it have it in white.

Oh yeah, driver frame rail had some rust and both rear panels behind the rear wheels had some surface rust.

@@snail.mailll the frame rail, I had to cut it out and replace with new metal. Any other surface rust spot was treated in acid.
