@@xbenci I agree, he's one of the most overrated drummers ever. He's neither creative nor exceptionally skilled so to call him one of the greatest is absurd, although he does have a ton of energy which is perfect for Nirvana. Also, he took many of the drum parts on Nevermind from Chad Channing (In Bloom) and he even said to Pharrell Williams that he's a basic drummer and that he stole so many parts from The Gap Band, Cameo, and Tony Thompson.

No, they played it four times, this being the first. Then 09/10/92 - Portland Meadows (No on 9 Benefit), Portland, OR, after that 09/11/92 - Seattle Center Coliseum (Washington Music Industry Coalition Benefit), Seattle, WA, and finally 07/23/93 - Roseland Ballroom (New Music Seminar), New York, NY, which is funny because the last performance is before In Utero was even out.

@Cult_7191 It's only grunge when it comes out of Seattle. the grunge movement was just a massive renaissance of Seattle bands jamming about the shitty times. personally I hear a resemblance between AIC and Nirvana more than I do with pearl jam or sound garden

Never known the lyrics to this all out audio assault but amusingly in the liner notes of In Utero they are written as "cufk, tish, sips" which are anagrams for fuck, shit, piss :) nice one Kurt still making me smile after all these years no one else would have ever done that. Thinking man's rock legend! One of a kind.

Those aren’t the lyrics. Cobain wrote Tourettes as a song with no lyrics, only vocalization.

I think the lyrics in this live version are different from the studio, but the studio versions lyrics are simple but still profound. Kurt may have acted like his lyrics weren't shit, but they had substance on a deep level. I doubt he wasn't aware. Probably just played it down like the greats often do.

Dude this song gets me pumped and urges me to start breaking shit. If I ever wanna think rebellious thoughts, I just turn this song up to 11. It was their style and their ability to connect with the audience that made them so great. Maybe that's why when Kurt died people took it so harshly. Nirvana is definitely a band that will be in the books forever.
