Definitely one of my all-time favorite Nirvana performances. I mailed a letter to Krist's studio about 4-5 months ago and today I got a signed photo/postcard addressed to me back in the mail. it said "Dear Keith, ROCK ON! -Krist". The LAST thing I was ever expecting. As a long-time Nirvana fan with a Nevermind album logo tattoo..it just made my fucking year! Thank you so much Krist!!!

Stage 7: Severe Dementia (D-7) Along with the loss of motor skills, patients will progressively lose the ability to speak during the course of stage 7 dementia. In the final stage, the brain seems to lose its connection with the body. Severe dementia frequently entails the loss of all verbal and speech abilities. Loved ones and caregivers will need to help the individual with walking, eating, and using the bathroom. By identifying the earliest stages of dementia as they occur, you may be able to seek medical treatment quickly and delay the onset of later stages. Though most cases of dementia are progressive, some may be reversible, and sometimes dementia-like conditions may be caused by treatable underlying deficiencies or illnesses. The more aware you are of these stages, the quicker you will be able to react and seek help, either for yourself or for a loved one. Nirvana's version of D7 is one of the coolest and most crushing displays of raw artistic prowess. I love how sinister the riff comes across and the distortion with the guitars kicking in is so powerful, on recorded tracks you can also definitely hear Kurt shredding his vocal cords to an impressive degree. It's pure perfection.

@@janvranjes4554 I don't think he used to chew tobacco. If so, I never found an interview or book that said this. However, I guess I was wrong to say that teeth grinding was a technique. I think it's more a habit. I usually stamp my foot with the music beats, while playing guitar, and other people grinds their teeth. Note that Kurt sometimes moves his jaw according to the rhythm, sometimes not. I think if it was a technique, the moves would be more accurate. So, it could be a habit, based in the tempo. Plus, Kurt was ADHD, and people with this diagnosis commonly have the grind teeth habit.

He opens his eyes immediately. He knew, for sure, and left it. Which again, I’m so glad. Aside from hearing the difference, there’s no way he didn’t feel himself hit the switch. Unless he decided he didn’t sit well in the mix in the neck, he accidentally hit it and decided to leave it. Absolutely Beautiful.

+Su Ivey-Lammers That was also his greatest downfall. He felt so guilty to women because of the abuse he suffered at the hands of his mother that he purposely put himself in abusive relationships and of course killed himself when filing for divorce. I don't think this glamorization of women as a victim that Kurt had is something to idolize, it killed him after all. It's more like something to study and acknowledge some people unfortunately fall into.
