A song that gives the finger to those purists who say Kurt sucked at guitar. You NEED stamina to play this it aint easy!

Kurt was a guitar GOD. I don't care that he didn't shred or didn't even really know theory or scales that much, his feel, musicality, intensity and ability to make his guitar blend into the song with the perfect instincts is why I picked up a guitar.

@@restlessyouthproductions lol cmon he was average even for a punk guitarist, i loved Kurt but "Guitar God" lmao cmon

Listen to Fecal Matter if you haven't I'm sure you have. Kurt could play savagely.

This is song is a lot easier than it seems if you actually practice it. Kurt was a mediocre guitarist that wrote simple yet memorable riffs.

@@restlessyouthproductions I wouldn't say he was a guitar god; by any means. He was very clever at writing catchy riffs/songs though. In that respect; to me at least, he is a better guitarist than most people give him credit for.
You definitely seem to dig Bleach. I think you have a better appreciation for Nirvana when you realize they were punk more so than anything else. Great reaction David!❤️

Would be great for a Floyd the Barber reaction to the Amsterdam Paradiso show. Drums are so heavy on the high def version. He’d love it!

This song is awesome and the riff is so catchy.
Their first album Bleach was more punk than grunge for sure...i think bleach is more cup of your tea rather than never mind...i love'em both...cheers
It's amazing how your face has lit up with this song. Who was going to tell you some time ago that a Nirvana song could have that effect on you.

Punk influence for sure… Bleach is a very good album… my favorite from them.
Bleach is so underrated, my fav album, that raw punk sound is 🔥
The ending: "Here, we're going to show you every note...slowly" This song is frantic certainly
Man, this track takes me back. ‘Cause it goes way back. I used to listen to this album on CD on my portable player before school. It helped me stay awake on the bus. And I knew a guy who worked the register at the music store across the street from my then-apartment. He was a big fan of this album, because it’s so raw and in no way over-produced or over-treated. Nirvana hadn’t found their pop streak yet and they were garage punkers. That part of their style was thankfully never fully rubbed out.
Super fun watching this one! Would love to see reactions on more Nirvana tracks from Bleach, such a rad album!
Yes! I am very happy this song won the poll and very pleased with the score. Mostly I am happy that you really liked it and have come around to appreciate Nirvana to some extent, even putting a few of their songs on a playlist or 2. That's fantastic, David!
Nirrrvanaaaa! jajaja. Un abrazo, David!
Bleach is a damn good debut album
Always good to see you really enjoy a song🙂
He is happy 🙂I didn't know this one and I'm happy too

One of the best songs on Bleach imo, and definitely the hardest to play. Great vid!

The most punk of their punk is this album. I've said it before, and will again, they were NOT Grunge/Alt, they identified as punk and Bleach is punk for sure!

Bleach is also Punk/Metal in Grunge style. Blending Punk with Metal started be popular in Punk scene since middle of 80's and still continues. Very good album, down tune and dark with one of best Kurts vocals. Cheers
I am just wondering what you grew up listening to if you don't know any of these songs you are reacting to.

Fair enough. I may be ever so slightly younger than you, but Nirvana was so basic general knowledge that it's hard for me to imagine there are people our age who haven't heard them. But then I've always been into the grunge scene.
