1992 is where kurt cobain has depression and 2 years later it died
Dave wasn't joking in this interview when he said he liked KYUSS. He'd go on to drum for them under the name Queens of the Stone Age.
Rest in peace, Kurt Cobain. A poet, a rocker, a genius.

It refreshing to see kids interviewed acting like kids. Might not be the most articulate conversation but we still knew how to interact with people instead of phones.

If your kids don't know how to communicate, it's the parents fault. If the new generation isn't what you want, it's the society created for them by the older generations. You only yourself to blame. But I suspect you just shit on anyone that isn't exactly like you as 'lesser than'. Probably to build you up and make you feel better about aging, as if you are somehow better than others. It's pathetic and quite transparent.

I’ve never seen Kurt and the band this happy and harmonic. ❤
Kurt looked so happy with that little beautiful in his arms😢...oh my gosh...I wish he could have lived more of that happiness😢😢❤
I love Dave's shoutout to Kyuss, which he unintentionally predicted QOTSA's success.
2:56 lol Dave casually tap dancing
Nirvana, The Beatles, The Doors, Led Zeppelin -- doesn't matter WHO... it's amazing that MTV could dedicate 8 minutes to a single band... and I grew up in this era.
very dope shoutout from Dave @ 4:20 to desert rock legends, Kyuss. in 10 years, Dave will be playing with the spiritual successor to that band, Queens of the Stone Age, on what's considered by many to be the best album of 2002, Songs for the Deaf.
I love the one question a reporter asked Kurt as he was walking with Frances. Reporter: Kurt, how do you like fatherhood? Kurt: Vodka? I love vodka. 🤣

Helmet and Nirvana in 92...legendary
RIP Kurt Cobain (February 20, 1967 - April 5, 1994), age 27 You will be remembered as a legend
Aaaaaa fracis is soooo cute in this video
People love to go to Seattle to see his life and his spirit.
the dude at 3:59 saying "there's a tonne of bands not getting noticed at all like..." 1: Seaweed - awesome band, underrated, good point 2: Supersuckers - suck 3: Gruntruck - similar to alice in chains but without anything interesting to make them stand out, like a lesser form of aic i suppose now dude, just cause these are 'bands from the same place and time' doesn't mean they are in the same category as ABSOLUTE LYRICAL AND MELODIC GENIUS that was nirvana. nirvana got big for a reason, it wasn't luck.
the one and only thing that put Seattle on the pop culture map lol
So cool to see dave shoutout KYUSS since he did drums for Josh Homme’s later band Queens of The stone Age On the Albums “Songs For the Deaf” and “..Like Clockwork Great music

Like how Kurt said "I'm just teaching her how to cuss" then immediately (7:43) takes babies hand to flip the bird right before the camera zooms in.
Time capsule of 1992 when "grunge" was at it's peak and I lived in Bellevue, Washington which is the "eastside" across from Seattle. I got on a plane to New Zealand, one-way ticket to go help start up Microsoft in Auckland. On arrival the Kiwis always responded to my Seattle origins with "wow you must really love grunge music" or something like that. In fact one of the motivations for moving to NZ was it's antipodean music scene and I was already kinda burnt out on the Seattle sound. Crowded House had recently released the "Together Alone" album and I became somewhat of a groupie, following their subsequent tour of NZ. Jump ahead to about 1997 I saw one of the most awesome concerts in a small venue in Auckland. It was Foo Fighters who opened with "My Hero" and two huge drum sets with Dave and Taylor pounding out the intro side by side and I had my chin on the stage front and center. So somehow Nirvana, Crowded House, New Zealand, and the Foos are strangely connected. I even got to know Crowded House's frontman Neil Finn and we talked about the Foos (that Nirvana drummer guy) first album. Really a seminal time in rock history. I used to drive my open-top sports car around Auckland blasting The Color and The Shape on its bodacious stereo. Great memories mixed with Seattle and NZ music scene. RIP Kurt RIP Taylor RIP Paulo.

I also lived in Bellingham around '82-'86 nice city many great times, riding my motorcycle down Chuckanut Drive, Fairhaven, Happy Valley, Lake Padden, etc. I'd even move back there now. I grew up mostly in Olympia near Evergreen State College and was there for the start of what became "grunge". Lots of $2 concerts with the bands who soon after became famous playing big arenas. But again I went to NZ for a promising career change, but also the downunder music scene. I became a sort of Enz-ologist following the roots and origins of Split Enz, got to meet most of the original band, and one special night Neil Finn calls me at home says come down to the studio (Revolver) so I show up, my name is on the list and inside is a private reunion party. The guys pick up their instruments and do an impromptu run of their favorite songs. As a Frenz of the Enz guy it was a dream come true.

The kids were very picky about the scene, that's why Kurt was so fed up about fame, everyone talking about how Nirvana was getting all the attention and letting the other cool bands out.
Kurt was a star in music.

I’m a muse so I’ve had a lot of Inspirations over the years but Kurt is up there he taught me you can have meaningless lyrics as long as your passionate and can play ppl will jam to it yes we don’t know what it means when he says he’s the one who likes all our pretty songs that’s a stab at casual fans and the fact ppl don’t know what that songs about just makes his point so much more genius

When his mom seems proud of him, but concerned, it hit hard. One of my friends who I played music with took his one life. We lived in separate towns and I didn't communicate with him as much as I should have. It's still devastating to his Mother, and I feel like Wendy Cobain probably feels similar. No parent should have to bury their child.

I really wish Kurt had been able to walk away and just be a Daddy. NIRVANA could have gone on hiatus and FF could have still been a thing, Maybe Kirst could have carried the political torch frank zappa left smoldering. Most importantly Lil Bean could have grown up with her father for a longer period of time, and the Family that Kurt obviously yearned for could have come to fruition, with all the Ups and Downs that come along with it.
why would you crop the image just for the KZread aspect ratio? should've just put the full frame against a background with motion graphics.
