My goodness. These young actors have the same mannerisms as their older versions. Very talented kids. Even the girl who plays Julia.

They did a great job casting the college version of Sean and Christian.

I really like these flashbacks because it gives deeper insight into how their relationship/friendship/partnership was established. Not only that, but I think this really solidifies the fact that Christian needed Sean way more than Sean EVER needed Christian.

+Kobe Busia That's kinda of tragedy of the situation. It originally started out that, but it showed how Christian ruined Sean's life enough that all Sean had was Christian. In the finale, it really shows that if Christian had turned back to Sean, Sean would have stayed.

Kobe Busia It's one of the reasons why Sean was my favorite character in the series. You see a really good guy, who just had his life ruined and tried to make relationships that had no place in the world working. I started the show from somewhere in Season 2, but rewatched season 1 last, and it's just sad, but real in some parts. Sean's breakdown in the series made sense and Christian losing himself over and over. The only character I never really warmed up to was Julia, and that's only because when she becomes a recurring character, she becomes more of hypocrite than anyone less(though Ryan Murphy writes many of his female character's horribly). I like that Sean in the end , at least gets a chance to be the person he was meant to be and have the family he always wanted, away from the people who destroyed him.

Chalicodragon I look at Julia as someone who has lived her life completely lost. She never took the time to learn who she is as a person, and to me that explains why she just up and decided she was a lesbian and dated Olivia. Even more than that, the love triangle she had with Sean and Christian just really fucked her up. But yeah this is my favorite Ryan Murphy show. I didn't grow up with it, I first saw it two years ago while Glee season 5 was on hiatus. At this point I've seen all of his shows, and among them all, can we both agree that Glee was the most generic AND the least thought-provoking?

Kobe Busia Good point about Julia.I haven't seen all of his shows. With Glee, it's sad. It had potential , but Ryan Murphy later just made the show a checklist after season 3 and stopped caring somewhere around season 2. I have never seen so much out of character, character assassination, and lack of sympathy from multiple character. I would trust last season Christian, the guy who stole from Sean and destroyed his relationship with his brother over all the glee characters, since he had some sort of morals. So yeah, we can both agree.

MusicLover_KB honestly Ryan Murphy is horrible with female characters, what he did to Quinn in the later seasons is proof

Throughout the show it should be painfully obvious that Christian is absolutely toxic for Sean. The duo made them more successful but Sean would never be happy until they separated which thankfully is what happens in the finale.

wow Christian really messed with Sean's success in life way before they became professional and stuff but i guess when he gave Sean a way to live his dreams to help people he fully redeemed himself in the end.

The young sean looks like older sean its just his eyes are not as light. They should have cleared his eyes up with some contacts or something. Also his hair is too straight needs slightly more texture.

I don't see how Christian ruined Sean's life. Sean had a great life. He became a rich and successful plastic surgeon. He married the girl of his dreams. He had 3 great kids. He helped people every day. He just never appreciated any of it. Without Christian, Sean would have probably become an internist and slaved for pennies doled out by HMOs. Sean has a King Arthur complex. He thinks that he's destined to be some great folk hero and save the world. He thinks joining Doctors w/o Borders and living in a third world country will somehow make him look and feel like a better person. Christian is just a lot more realistic about the medical profession. It's a hard and dirty business. Sean looks down on his own profession because it's not noble enough for him.
