Find it sad how otakemaru hated humans so much but the people who he ended up hurting the most were his own flesh and blood.

I'd like to imagine that William and Mumyo are fighting against Maria and the possessed Protagonist while we're fighting our awesome battle against Otakemaru.

Man i enjoy this fight, epicness is all over the place. One of my favourite boss

The only good thing getting ass kicked by the bosses is keep hearing the amazing OST

the first dark souls game where patches saves your life.

No, he's dying, but for natural reasons. Mary resurrected him with the help of spirit stones, which was not natural. Therefore, in the end, his spirit rested in peace. The same thing happened with Oda in Nioh 1

I hate that I can't find a version of this OST that includes Tokichiro's cheers from the fight :(

I would love to see otakemaru in his full prime strength. The fight must be epic, and flashy, with multiple steps to the battle, like being forced to break each of swords and finally he unleashes 200% barehanded to wreck you

From what I understood most of his power is still sealed within byodo-in, the strength that was able to slip through the seal manifested itself as kashin koji and when he possesses us at the end of the game what we're fighting is actually just a fragment of his soul.

Definitely a fragment. Not to mention, it was sealed for hundreds of years (then you seal him again for 20-ish). Otakemaru is weakening. I want to see him when his reign of terror was at its prime. The dlc made it clear “your true enemy” isn’t gone.

Yeah the dlc´s are really hyping up the story for me. i hope they show Shuten Doji in his full strength state too, he´s kinda clumsy and everything at the moment, the figght overall is really cool but i can´t help but feel like he´s not his true self either, so it would be cool to see overall. lowkey i kinda hope we can collect Otakemarus swords in the final dlc!

I have a hard time trying to decide which version I like better. This or Nightmare Bringer.

That one dislike is from someone who hates any game that isn't Last of Us 2. Although me in the other hand when I see a badass Souls like game Music I instantly put a like on it. :^)

@@rayzeene Shibata is hard right^^ Aggro and running around,but Nagamasa is a counter Boss. Hit him 1 and too times and dode his other hits.Too offensive and you die fast at this guy:)

Found he was pretty manageable. Maria (the blond who resurects Hideyoshi) was much harder in Nioh 1 in my oppinion

@@rayzeene I feel the same. At first I thought it was a matter of skill, and I was just better at the game by the time I got to Otakemaru, vs when I was at Azai Nagamasa (which was also true), but I fought Nagamasa again ,soon after I beat Otakemaru, when completing his request from the internim, and I had a tougher time with him than I did with Otakemaru. Maybe NG+ and a stone of penance will give me the difficulty I've been craving

I feel like they should have cut off the main storyline early to just after we seal Otakemaru away and go to sleep for a couple decades, and then made us go through the 3 DLCs. They should have had the last main story region be the last area of The First Samurai DLC, and had us fight Otakemaru and then Nightmare Bringer in the final boss fight.

@@rompeportones4587 The game DLc was being developed during the Pandemic, which could explain some rushing.

The whole game u have been fighting some humans, yokai, beasts but they never felt satisfying to me cuz this game is abt samurais and warriors. I just felt that the mechanics didn’t fit fighting a giant 2 sided boss or something (that was a good boss). However it did feel like it fit the most powerful yokai, otakemaru. Truly a duel between 2 powerful warriors.
