A little Trivia about the Man Magara Naotaka himelf from History, he supported the Asakura Army on their retreat from a battle with Oda Nobunaga und Tokugawa together with his oldest Son, while fighting he lost his Nodachi for which he was considered a Master in his time, after Loosing it in a Brawl on the battlefield he just continued fighting barehanded and is said to have bested multiple enemies in that state before being overpowered and killed. 1570. His Sword can be seen in a Shinto Shrine to this day.

I wish him losing his Nodachi was a mechanic in this boss fight, like maybe at the half way point you knock his weapon out of his hand and then he starts beating the dog shit out of you with just his fists How amazing would that be?! Still a great fight though

Indeed, their music is one of the best in Japanese games, you can find other masterpieces in The Ambition of Nobunaga 12 and Romance of the Three Kingdoms 11. These two have pieces of music of different genres. You can have a direct feeling about how this company masters different cultures and express with the pieces that are most fit.

Since this plays in Magara, Honda and Benkei's fights This theme can officially called the theme of Strong and Dauntless men

As great as this song is, it's infinitely better while you're fighting him

Music sounds both heroic and tragic. Like the battle is between two people who at thier core, don't want this but are doing it.

Benkei is absolutely one of my favourite Historical figures. I love how well this theme suits him. According to real scriptures (undoubtedly exaggerated, but fun to believe) he was every bit the powerhouse you see in the game.

I love the Trumpets in these Boss Fights. They ad so much feeling to the Fights in my Opinion

Ah yes, the Artorias of Nioh

I really love this theme,it's start out as intense and intimidating which at that point you still trying to feel out your opponent's move then it's turn to heroic which at that point you already know what to do and dancing around him

Looking back, this would of been a perfect Otakemaru theme. Ominous and daunting at first, then glimmer of hope when you get “Masura” and a old friend against Otakemaru‘s true form.

How many of you turned down the music and played this when you got to Ryomen in the actual game? I know that's what I'm planning on doing.

Love this...So glad nioh 2 has more music..i'm ready

Very accurate regarding the lore of the boss

One of the greatest bosses in videogame history and also the soundtrack is a Masterpiece

i can still hear magara screaming at me....

3:00 sounds like phantom of the opera, very nice

Ended up loving this boss even if I died like 10-15 times in the demo. Great for learning burst counters

I thought he was super fun mechanically. Forcing me to switch between water and fire magic honestly gave me a hard time.

The rhythm of this song is so cool. This game's OST is very underrated.

I wonder who took the questionable decision of replacing this excellent OST by going cheap and putting the Onryoki/Umi Bozu/mashed-bones-potato-boss theme instead. This one fits so well with Ryomen, just like with Magara: it depicts one steep battle, with any wrong moves putting you in great disadvantage if you're under the level required.

I guess this is now technically... Magara Naotaka and Honda Todakatsu's theme. Ryomen gets the Onryoki theme and Enenra theme in a side mission. Game still has a good soundtrack wonder why they changed that lol

There is a new mission where Oni Hanzo and Tadakatsu Honda have this theme

I had so much fun fighting this guy I found it a blast to fight him.

I just saw the cutscene, and it's so amazing. The only knowledge I had of Ryomen Sukuna is from Jujutsu Kaisen, but nioh offers a more accurate representation of it. I love the mix between demon and robot, it really makes it feel off and powerful. but also how it so effortlessly cleaves through normal people. It cut a guy like a hot knife through butter, while he was blocking, and it pierced a guy so hard the arrow came to the other side. I think in all of the souls games, it's hard to find a better boss cutscene than this one

This soundtrack had no right being this fire

Every boss in nioh 2 has its own soundrack even tho few are from Nioh 1 but still.

It's funny how I had no problem fighting this guy, but whenever he switched to his blue side and did his Burst Attack, my brain always just fucking turned off.

Same lol. I would always think it was his spinning move but then realize too late that it wasn't. I even figured out how to tell when he did it too but for some reason I just couldn't react to that move.

I got to the point where I didn't even bother trying to burst counter it. The moment he switched to that shit, I just went into low stance and backed the hell up.

Hands down my fav track in the ost

This piece is awesome but at the same time mournful. I guess this is fitting since Naotaka was an awesome warrior who happened to find himself on the losing side of history. War takes the best and the kindest first.

Ahh! Just like i asked! Thanks! For the theme? I really like thish theme because it brings clockwork feelings and youre basicly fighting a giant statue that moves like a clockwork robot! Also when i first time fought the flexile sentry from ds2 I thought the idea of the fight was awesome but executed poorly but when i first fought thish guy in last change It was so much fun! My only minor critic is that the boss demon realm in my opinion did not really add anything or atleast I did not notice. God if these early ones are thish good I cant wait to hear what the final boss theme is gonna be!

I love this boss but I do have to admit, it's very easy. I hope they improve it a bit in the full game. Maybe because it's a demo so you aren't yet fully prepared for everything it has to throw at you, but I'm guessing you'll fight this boss later in the story so we'll see.

The dark realm restores the bosses KI to up to 70%, gives the boss more abilities to use and also lowers your KI recovery. I think that might be it.

Is it just me, or is this one of the most epic boss themes of all time. It should've been used on the final boss or a way more important boss.

Even though I finished Dark Souls 1 and 3, Bloodborne and Sekiro, this boss absolutely rekt me haha

the theme of grinding the Omnyo Warrior set

Suits Magara and Honda the best. I'd say the theme suits the real-life Benkei too who was a complete badass, but the in-game Benkei is not so resilient lol.

Magara Naotaka, Benkei, and Ancient Nyotengu is a bad ass boss battle. Loving this masterpiece OST. Also this gives me the Magnamalo vibes. You know the Flag ship from the game Monster Hunter Rise?

Because Ryomen Sukuna cuts through that guy's spear, I was assuming you wouldn't be able to block any of it's attacks. Luckily, I was wrong.

magara naotaka is a fun boss to fight for me, and then there's tadakatsu FINALLY tadakatsu is no longer a weakling like in nioh 1 and is now stupidly strong like his samurai warriors counterpart :3 i felt VERY happy when he killed me in only two hits even though i was wearing medium and heavy armor at the time, and it gave me the motivation to seriously kill him for real compared to nioh 1 where he was disappointingly pathetic :(

My favorite song in the game. Reminds me of on the generals order. Sadly this games OST, level design and story wasn't as strong as the first game for me.
