Jade Arcade not always true show me where you can play Super Mario World on your PC without emulation show me where you can play Gears of War on PC games that are made for console you can't play on PC and a lot of times if you can the PC version is usually broken and needs a lot of fixing and they sometimes never fix it the Nintendo switch seems like a great console and it may be after they fix all the problems but right now it's not worth the price tag no matter if it's only a handful breaking you won't know if yours is going to break if yours does break not telling how long it's going to be before they fix it it's just like every other company out there may take months before they fix it what if it's a hardware issue and they have to bring out a version 2 or what if it's a software problem then it may take weeks before something comes out I'll wait and save my money when all the problems have been fixed one of the biggest problems that's holding me back from buying it is the dock that scratches The screen hopefully they fix that if they do I'm buying if they don't I'm not and I have a Wii U and I have bought all the other consoles at one time

Feel bad for the kids that rarely get anything from their parents, receive a switch unexpectedly, find out it doesn't work, then be too scared to tell their parents because they think they'll be blamed for it.

this video is literally just cherryicking. this is maybe 0.01% or even less of all switch consoles on release- small manifacturing mistakes can happen or the device could've even be damaged in shipping. almost all consoles arrived working in perfect conditions, otherwise this wouldve been a far bigger story. this video was mostly just done to scare people

People that buy game systems at launch are basically test subjects for the companies New edit: I own a switch never have many problems but it does freeze sometimes when i play games, maybe its because of its age because i had it since January of 2018 but i got it as a birthday present. New edit: The freezing continues, it happens occasionally, not to a point that it is extremely annoying. I read replies that said that its not age, i don’t know why it freezes at such a new age. I might get it sent in to Nintendo. New edit: I know this is late, but My mom found the switch at a local store and she got for a cheap price, so someone possibly treated the switch horribly im not sure, im just assuming. I tested all games and found that My Switch freezes when I play games that are huge like FoRtNiTe(btw fortnite is garbage), Minecraft, I played that game a lot with my cousins. So I don’t expect it to play smoothly if I play Skyrim tbh. But for the very few people that like being smart asses(I saw like two or three), I said the “People that buy game systems at launch are basically test subjects for the companies” comment trying to joke around.

@sneakyfox The doc still is a very light piece of plastic with not much to it. I haven't had problems with scratches. However I also use a protective foil.

note to self: don’t buy the switch 2 upon launch, wait till the bugs are fixed

I once had this really weird glitch with my old Apple iPad mini, I turned it on and it basically had this really really loud screeching noise, it only turned off a little bit afterwards once I reset it.

I got the switch around launch and it's still working fine to this day, had to replace the fan only because it was getting loud but it held up nonetheless

Because of this video, when I got my Switch in 2018, I immediately sewed a little dock cover to prevent my screen from being scratched by using scrap fabric I had and I decorated it with lace and ribbons I had laying around. I was lucky that my Switch didn't have any of the defects outlined in the video, I was really scared of that, and that dock cover really helped over the years to keep the screen intact. Though, Nintendo should have thought out the docking and the possible scratching. Making a dock cover or buying one should not be a nearly mandatory safeguard just to ensure your console survives regular use.

6 years after I first saw this video and replied. Funny enough still have the same launch switch. Still have not run into any of these problems

The dead pixel message Nintendo issued is ridiculous. Of course pixels on LCD screens will die eventually but for them to be dead already on a device with no play time is just unacceptable.

That's true! my ds lite has a small 2 lines worth of dead pixels, but that just happened like 3 years ago!

I absolutely love all the youtubers and "journalists" getting the joycons stuck and then the 10 second clip of a child calmly demonstrating the fix.
