Nintendo Switch OLED HWFLY in order to make a firmware backup? Is it a good idea?

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

In today's video I'm installing the HWFLY chip (provided by customer) to the Nintendo Switch OLED in order to make a full firmware backup. Is it good idea? Our customer had a bad experience with his last Nintendo Switch. It was out of a warranty and the system has been corrupted because of the nand memory issue. Unfortunately he lost everything he had on it. He bought a Nintendo Switch OLED and this time to protect the firmware he wanted to make a full backup of the nand memory in case the problem come back. We know it's impossible to do this in original firmware so he provided us the chip which allowed us to make a full backup.
We don't provide the hwfly chips or anything that can change original state of any console.

Hi sir, Thank you for the great video. I just have few questions. What cables should I buy to connect the dots? I can't buy AWG 34-36 in my country. Only AWG 30. Is that okay too? Or which special wire do you recommend? Also, again, thank you so much for this video. You are the only one that explains like everything just perfectly. Out of all hwfly welding "tutorials" this one is the BEST. Subscribed!

You should use 0.1mm enamelled copper wire. Here is a link for it : www.ebay.co.uk/itm/185192402954?hash=item2b1e53d00a:g:zd4AAOSwd~xhpjSt all awg wires are a bit difficult to solder them and shape them.

Excellent video. The secret lies in the 36AWG enamelled copper wire for D & A . Thicker wires hang heavy on the tiny joints and do not make a good solder joint. We can use 30AWG for GND, 3.3v and C. I blew a CLK point doing exactly what you tried with the red wire, used the 30AWG which is not good for a good CLK connection.

So, I was like wondering at 6:45 you test the connection, but I can't see what you're putting your probe on for the second point. If I'm asking a dumb question please forgive me😖. I'm like totally new to this type of chip and while I've modded other systems that involve soldering (Xbox, Xbox 360, PS3 etc...), I find myself totally lost as to the specifics of this installation process (can't find good resources in English😜). What resources did you use to first install the HWFLY chip or was it mostly by understanding the system? Also would this video mostly work for the v4.1 HWFLY as well? Sorry for the super long post😋 Thanks for your time😆

Hi. Black probe on the ground point (charging port or other), red probe on the point you’d like to measure. Installation of these chips are always the same. The difference is only the ribbon tapes included in the set. Some of them are different shape etc. but the method is the same . You just need to find all the points (B,C,D,3.3v, ground, and 2 points on APU)on the motherboard and connect them to the chip. Before they released the Oled version , I was familiar with the older installations on the Switch and Switch lite, so this wasn’t a problem as it’s similar to the Oled.

Hello, I have a question, I hope you can help me, what are the files that are installed inside the microsd? Apart from hekate and atmosphere, I know that sxcore needs an important file which was boot.dat, but hwfly is different, does it need another essential file? pd: sorry for my bad english

I don't know if I can trust the pictures but each versions looks different, some kits have loads of parts and others don't?
