Is it possible to remove the 2 black speaker grills inside the bottom of the backplate? I'm looking to transfer them to a new backplate as my original one has a bit of damage.

Honestly I can't remember if I even tried, I will do a follow up video eventually as this one wasn't the best but that could take a while

Can the switch lite work via mains ac power when the battery eventually dies, or does it need a battery to work?

Good question Craig. I opened it back up to test it out and the answer is not exactly. It will not turn on with the mains connected and battery disconnected, but I assume it would still work when the battery will no longer hold charge and mains is supplied. I have no way to test that though, give me a couple of years 😉

@@Sawickipedia Thanks for the speedy response, as a collector im always unsure of buying battery powered devices due to long term uncertainty of "will it turn on in ten years time" scenario. If it was to work via ac with a dead battery still inside that would be ok, i guess time will tell.thanks again

Camera is too far away. No need to see that much of your hands + other stuff since the Switch is the main thing.
