Respect that you can do something like this without damaging anything
Super easy to do. As long as you're careful of the ribbon cables. While I was at it I replaced all of the buttons, including shoulder buttons with metallic gold ones.

@leone ochieng the funny thing is, I haven't even used the joycons in over a year. My switch is always in the dock and I use the pro controller lol. Never really use it in handheld mode because I don't take it with me anywhere. I prefer my 3ds or psvita for portable systems, but beyond going to work or grocery shopping, I really don't leave home. So no real reason to take anything with me.
Is it only me or I love teardown videos?
Thank you for sharing. I just replaced it and is working!!!

May I ask where did you purchased the parts
Just for it to start drifting again after some time, the drift reason is that that specific type of joystick has a design flaw, after use one part starts separating, and that's why it drifts
My rabbit bit one off both covers and now he left a mark on the joystick. Thanks for the tutorial !
You dont need to remove all the ribbon cables you did, just a FYI and the other side is set up differently
I want to replace the realme6 touch glass
It must be an widespread issue with the left JoyCon's left analog stick?? Cause my analogy stick is doing the exact same thing..

My right stick died, think it's just luck withe the cheap sticks they use, you can buy hall effect sticks and replace them the same way but you'll never get stick drift with them
only one problem - my joycon came with a stripped screw. literally its a pure circle im totally unable to take it apart

Other side is more of a pain. My controller started drifting about a week or so later and then a few months stopped charging all together after replacing the joystick. Ribbon cables are very fragile. If it weren't for some games like ring fit adventure I'd just throw the joycons away and use the pro controller 100% of the time.
Pls can you show me the best Nintendo emulator for PC..
