My dad's the elderly gentleman in this commercial, with the white hair. He's done quite a lot of commercial work with this being his most high profile one yet. Aside from maybe a Burger King commercial he's done for the German market. It's very cool to see him in this, being a lifelong Nintendo fan myself.

This is what I love about Nintendo, they bring family together

I'm the youngest of four siblings. We're all adults (I'm 26), and we all live in very different places. But every year or two, we manage to all get together. And when we do, it's practically mandatory that we gather in the living room and play Mario Party and/or Mario Kart for the N64 or GameCube. I'm so happy I grew up on these games, and that many others continue to do so. It really does bring the family together!

My dad is the oldest guy in this commercial lol. I was hoping he was gonna be in a Switch 2 ad but I'll take it. Nintendo fan all my life so it's pretty cool my dad got to be in this commercial.

That's it, we're finishing off the Switch my dudes.

Man this advertisement made me cry 😭 I used to have times like these..now when I play anything it's just looming silence I miss when my whole family would play Wii sports or MK wii together well something warm was in the stove..

Still promoting Mario Kart 8, a game that will be 10 years old in May. Nintendo releases awesome games that last a whole generation and a lifetime for many.

First few frames I thought the kid had Saiyan-style hair, but it was just a plant behind him.

Love the family atmosphere shown. Good job in this Nintendo. When so many are turning their backs on traditions and families, this was a nice thing to see.

This commercial is 100% I can vouch brining my Switch to family gatherings like this and everyime having a blast; especially with Bingo on Everyone 1-2 Switch as well as the other games on there.

I was seven when the switch first came out. Got it about a week later. I eventually grew up and forgot about it. But yesterday, I gave it to my little brother and it made me remember how good it was to play with friends and family. Nintendo brings people together.

What a perfect depiction of what the switch can do. Everyone already knows what it is, so it’s just a quick reminder at the beginning, and afterward it shows how easy it is for every single person to pick up a controller and have fun with it, of any age. Simultaneously showcasing multiplayer when no other console focuses on that anymore is also a good move. Nintendo has still got it, I have faith they can launch switch 2 very well.

Disney has their magic. But this is Nintendo magic right here.

I’m in no rush for a Switch 2, the OLED is fine for me. Just hope we get more than Princess Peach: Showtime! for new games this year. That said I think the reason we’re not seeing many new games isn’t fully because they are making a new switch. I think it’s because the put out way to much last year. If I was Nintendo I’d have held back Warioware: Move it! and Super Mario Bros. Wonder for 2024 releases. I think Tears of the kingdom, Mario RPG, Pokémon 4, Metroid Prime: Remastered, the pokemon DLC, and more was plenty for last year. They could have saved Mario Wonder for this summer. Released Warioware in the fall. And still released Peach and all the remakes when they planed to. Also they should give us something we haven’t seen this Christmas and I wish we had gotten Totk DLC part one this spring and part two in the fall. That’s how I’d have handled 2024 if I was Nintendo.

Kinda what i'm asking myself...although I think, this might be one last final advert for the Switch before they officially launch into Switch 2 campaign (could start April, or could even start later in the year, we don't know, but there's no doubt within the coming months that the Switch's successor will be officially unveiled).
