It's not likely considering how the company that makes them no longer exists, but I think Nintendo still has the IP. With them porting over the original Mario RPG and Paper Mario: TTYD, we could be at least getting a rerelease.

Since Mario vs. Donkey Kong is coming out February 16th, that probably means there will be a direct a few days before that because you know Nintendo likes to remind us of what they’re selling… and it’d be perfect for a new switch reveal as February directs are usually huge

I really would love a game where you play as someone like Bowser as the main character. You play in the villains shoes, and maybe try to kidnap peach or defeat Mario! 🥹

I'd love to see a crossover between mario odyssey and mario galaxy... Because we can go on the moon in odyssey, so why don't we push the limits further ?

I agree. I think that game was easily one of, if not the best game I’ve ever played. It might take a while but the hype for ttyd seems promising and I hope we can get more remakes in the next couple of years

I played the beginning of this when I was very young, and it felt so magical. When I got my steam deck, I was on a bit of an emulator craze and so I played Super Paper Mario. It was amazing all the way through. Discovering Flopside, unlocking the pixls (I think?), the twist at the end; the game had so much charm and was so fun.

I disagree, This year was really long

I hope it's Odyssey 2. People say it's too late, but the idea is too good to give up on. Odyssey probably had enough ideas for like 3 sequels, so I think it's so weird we haven't gotten any. Especially since the guy who leaked a lot about Sonic Frontiers with 100% accuracy also mentioned Odyssey 2, I still haven't given up hope.

The reason why some people are excited about Luigi’s mansion 2 being ported to the switch is because when the original was first announced a lot of people were bummed that it was a handheld exclusive and not a main home console game so I’m going to assume it’s going to sell big because of that reason alone

I'd like a Kid Icarus III, going back to more of an adventure action game, 'cause the characters in the Kid Icarus world are so funny and charming.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was Mario Kart 9 or Mario Kart X or whatever they end up calling the next one in the series. They likely started it the moment Mario kart 8 deluxe went Gold. And it's been done for years or the team was told to just keep going, because Mario Kart 8 Deluxe just doesn't stop selling. And now we'll have a Mario Kart with 7 Years plus of development time to launch with the Switch 2.

This year was awesome I cant believe it went by so fast

A sequel to Tomodachi Life would be amazing since they have shown that they are in development right now and its been 10+ years

I can hardly wait to find out what the new awesome surprises and excitements will be.

Really looking forward to the Thousand Year Door remake. I love the Mario RPG remake and hope they decide to do it to some other classics as well. I'd love to see some more of the handheld Zelda games get remade like they did with Link's Awakening. I'd also like to see Yoshi's Wooly World on the Switch. I never got to play that one and I love the yarn art style of the game.

Yoshis crafted world is probably the closest thing we have. The game itself is not difficult but it is beautiful and keeps your interest especially if you have little ones you’re introducing to gaming

I’m replaying Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time, this game is sooooooo good. I would even argue better then the SUPER MARIO RPG remake. I hope they release a completely new M&L title

Though i want it, i doubt a new Animal Crossing will come YET. New Horizons is still selling and Nintendo is hopefully working on the next one. I would rather them spend a lot of time on a great game rather than a mediocre game. I think if they were to add anything for Aimal Crossing, it would be a port of New Leaf or Wild World.

Speaking of DK needing his own game after Tropical Freeze I know that Rayman came back in Sparks of Hope but Ubisoft need to bring back the limbless character in his own title asap

We just had our big Zelda and our big Mario games this year, so it feels like Nintendo's big game for 2024 might not be on Switch.

News outlets are only basing its release on the remakes Nintendo released (because 3DS had remakes prior to being stopped) I believe Nintendo is trying to beat the PS2 sales. And the PS2 was sold for 12 years. Switch will probably be alive until early 2026.

@urlocalrobloxed1tor Nintendo had changed these past few years. They know that: 1) No one can beat them in the portable console market 2) They lose their market share after every successful console. If their next gen does release, it will probably be a hybrid (just look at Sony trying to market the Portal, never mind Microsoft, theyre more interested in spying on your living room) and definitely backwards compatible. They know they have a goldmine in their hands and to throw that market share is foolish. As for me, I bought the New 2DS XL almost when 3DS support stopped. But am I enjoying it? Yes, especially the DS games.

Let's go "Link's awakening 2 : The quest to save Marin from being trapped as a seagull forever" . Coming 2024 !

If a Kirby comes out next year, I can't wait to see how his new copy abilities play out. I guess it might be a remaster of one of the Dark Matter games.

I mean it could be Kirby 64 The Crystal Shards cause would it be cool to see new 3D cutscenes just like in Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe I mean it would be awesome and then we would see the comeback of both Adeleine and Ribbon and also maybe finally seeing Waddle Dee having his Bandana and his spear now that would be cool and also for King Dedede I don't know if they're gonna keep his design in the Kirby 64 The Crystal Shards remake cause seriously he looks like club penguin I'm like why? I would want an entirely new, open world Kirby game rather than recycling old ideas would be more appreciated. The Kirby series already had like 3 games that were remastered or remade versions of older Kirby games. I guess I'm okay with having another Dark Matter-like entity being the main antagonist of a new Kirby game, but not a reused one from older games like Zero or 02.

@@GreenKirby808 Okay let's talk about it so yeah it would be cool seeing a sandbox or a open world new Kirby Game I would like to see HAL Labs doing that for Kirby but I'm thinking like what would the story be about for the Kirby Game after Forgotten Land and Magolor Epilogue well I'm pretty sure it would be like after Kirby and the Forgotten Land or after Magolor Epilogue Kirby, Elfilin, and Magolor work together to find the ancients that made the dimensions, the Master Crown, and the Lor Starcutter and take them down once and for all so that they won't corrupt anyone and also Kirby's Friends he met throughout the series now that would be a cool new Kirby Game to see. And also I don't think it's gonna be another Dark Matter-like entity being the main antagonist of a new Kirby game it's not it's gonna be like the ancients themselves not another freakin Dark Matter like antagonist no that's stupid because we have too many Dark Matters we don't need more we need a new antagonist instead of them. And also I'm still hoping to see Triple Deluxe and Planet Robobot and also having new side story modes for both Taranza and Susie just like for Magolor in Magolor Epilogue and yeah.

I understand why people don’t like Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon, but for me it’s one of my childhood games. I love that it’s being ported to switch and I personally have a lot of great memories with the game 😁

I would love to see Super Mario galaxy 2 on the Nintendo switch. If Super Mario galaxy 2 comes to the Nintendo switch. I think it should also have something similar to bowser's fury. The games I'm pretty sure it will be as a big Switch game for this year (and that I'm secretly excited for) can be a Nintendo related game, like Super Mario Maker 3, Luigi's Mansion 4,Mario Kart X (only for the comeback of Toad's Factory for this one, nothing else), and some non-Nintendo related games, like the adventures of Rayman from ubisoft, a brand new Skylanders game from PlayStation, alongside The Ruin Dlc for the switch version of Five nights at Freddy's : Security Breach (or Fnaf X, cuz I don't know if Special Delivery is a mainline Fnaf game, just like if Tour is a mainline Mario Kart game, there was never any logic about that, but anyways), and the one non-Nintendo game I'm really excited to see on Switch is A remake of the Simpsons : Hit & Run, game that first started on the GameCube, so it make sense for Nintendo to make this remake as a surprise big game.

I would love to see a Mario 3D inspired by the Mario Movie :)

I doubt the next console is coming in 2024. That would be cool but I don't think it's gonna happen. When it releases though hopefully they will release it with Splatoon 4, a new Mario game, a new Zelda game and hopefully Mario Kart 9!

New game consoles usually get release every 7 years. Thats the average for all of them. 7 years mark for the Switch is in a few months from now so we are due for a new one. I suspect the between September 2024 to April 2025 is when the new Nintendo game console will come out but I do think they are going to aim for next year’s holidays since sales were very low this year’s plus as mentioned in the video, there’s not much for next year’s games which is probably due to the new game console. We will probably hear more in the coming months.

@@user-cf9eb3dq6s most likely the new game console will have a backwards compatibility. Like so many games have been released on the switch and they also been putting their older games from past games consoles through the online membership or re-releasing them. It would not be smart for Nintendo to not do backwards compatibility on the new game console and take all of those games away. Also there are some reports that some of the switch games have been tested on the new game console and they play just fine. I’m confident that you will be able to continue playing Splatoon 3. It’s nothing to worry about at the moment.

The big game might be a mario game

Nintendo already confirmed they won’t replace the switch and will keep it around with games still coming on it

Good video! We got Pokemon Scarlet/Violet last year and the DLC content this year, so next year, assuming tradition holds true, we are also due for an older Gen remake. Options include another Gen 2 remake but HD, kinda like they did with Hello Pikachu/Eevee for Gen 1 or, even better, a Gen 5 remake, which is the last 2D/pixel 'OG style' Pokemon game, before Gen 6 went 3D. Im kinda hoping for this, personally to be another big release, hopefully alongside the new Switch machine. Finally, something like a Sequel to Pkmn Arceus could also fit here, or just some spinoff game.

The remakes skip a gen usually except for gen 3 to 4. Gen 3 - gen 1 remake Gen 4 - gen 2 remake Gen 6 - gen 3 remake Gen 8 - gen 4 remake So the most possible thing is that they will announce a lets go johto game , not gen 5. Gen 5 remakes will come around gen 10

I hope that Illumination will do Super Mario Bros Movie 2 in the future.

I’ve actually heard from a source that the big next Mario game is going to be revealed during the game awards due to the fact that Nintendo is already scheduled to have a big presentation during it

Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon for the 3DS is actually Luigi’s Mansion 2 in Japan. Nintendo of America are the ones who changed it to Dark Moon. A Link Between Two Worlds is A Link To The Past 2 (Triforce of the Gods 2) in Japan as well.

I dont think theyll announce a new 3D Mario until after theyve made as many sales as possible on all the upcoming remakes. So i wouldn't expect any news at all until summer 24 at the earliest

I have this in the head for quite a while, but imagine a game where we play as Waluigi. It will be based on an old statement from Nintendo that said that, once, 7 babies were born with a star inside them (These babies being Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy Bowser, Wario, Yoshi) and were "blessed". Waluigi was created after, and the game will be entirely based on that. Waluigi is jealous and wants to be special, and even more than the others. We will control Waluigi in differnet worlds, and each world would be a representation of one of the special babies (A world for mario, another one for Luigi,...) and the final boss of each world (being the grown-up baby of that world) would have their star stolen. And once we beat the game, there would be a cutscene with Waluigi fusing all of the seven stars, and at the exact moment of the collision, black screen and credits to tease the next game. It would be an incredible game, because Waluigi will finally have his own game, but also because the protagonist will be evil, creating a original game that would hype everyone for at least one year. That's my idea of a Waluigi game, i don't knw if it's good, so can i have your opinions please ?

I don’t need it to come out soon but just let us know you’re working to really make a leap forward with Pokémon, all the pieces are there now it just needs time and a dedicated team…. Conker's Bad Fur Day

I think Nintendo is planning to debut their "Switch 2" for the 2024 holiday season with a 3D Mario game as the flagship title but personally, I want a new Donkey Kong game to follow up Tropical Freeze cause that game was awesome. My wallet is not Reggie!

Part of me hopes they don’t show the switch 2 for a while even after next year, because I just splurged on a PS5 for myself, and getting a switch 2 and a ps5 in the same year is just too expensive

Ports, remasters and shadowdrops of smaller games is whats for the switch while brand new games and remasteres are being reserved for the new switch, either way, its going to be an interesting year

I remember playing Mario vs donkey kong for the first time on my Wii U and it just stuck with me for some reason

We're also getting a brand new Yo-kai Watch game, which is getting a worldwide release

a sequel to Super Mario RPG now that would be crazy.

With Splatoon 3 DLC Wave 2, Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door and Luigi's Mansion 2 HD, and more... I think 2024 is a hype year. And with these new games, I'd say a Kirby game might come in handy, we definitely need a Switch version for Triple Deluxe, I hope there is going to be a epilogue for that game too. Like Sectonia's Epilogue: The Floral Queen.

I saw someone make a good point about prime 2&3 comming out after 4 because if it came out before then it might canabalize prime 4 sales

They could remake Smash Melee. Would be nice to have a version of the game with easier wave dashing like Nick All-Stars Brawl and automatic L cancels similar to Ultimate. My biggest worry though is whether or not they might try to rebalance the game. It would bounce purists right off, and ideally i'd like to see people like Mang0 or HungryBox transition over to the new version if its just a rebuild of the original game with new bells and whistles. Either that, or they could do something similar to the Street Fighter 2 re-releases and introduce new characters or even a turbo mode or something. Imagine if we had Wario in Melee with a moveset inspired by Wario World.

Super Mario Sunshine 2 still needs to come out.

2023 felt really short wow

Will the new open world Mario game have layers like Tears of the Kingdom? Would it have a surface layer, sky layer, and a space layer?

I hope it's a Mario Maker 3D game. That would be so cool.

I think, and hope, they come out with a full fledged Mario game based around Bowser's Fury.

I hope that one day an open world Kirby game will come out where it’s not just open levels but an entire map(I’m hoping for the star allies planet popstar map)

I would play Dark Moon again because I’ve literally memorized the locations of every single gem and treasure trove. It might be entertaining.
