Thank you for including Battle of Olympus in your Nes hidden gems 3 video. That's an NES game I mentioned that deserves a place as an overlooked action rpg.

4:55 that Fire and Ice is such a cool game. It has 100 regular levels, but then also 50(!) hidden bonus levels as an easter egg. If the game was released today that would probably have been paid DLC.

The Guardian Lengend is SOOOOOOOO fun! A buddy of mine got it in a stack of NES games from his uncle years ago, and we have gone back and replayed countless times since. We were actually lucky enough to find a loose manual of it at the flee market near us for $2 a year or so ago! If John has the manual it's actually a pretty cool read and makes it gives you the names for each power up

The cover art for The Guardian Legend is EXACTLY why I never rented it at my local rental store. I can't tell you how many times I looked at that game but never tried it out! I am sure I would have liked it.

Am I the only one who noticed the Captain N shirt (edit: no)? That's awesome! I need to watch it with my son. I have some of these games, but not all of them. Crystalis is an absolutely amazing game. I beat it again last year. GI Joe was one of my NES games, and I loved it. Still trying to pick it up again.

One of my Childhood games ended up being one of the rarest $5-10 games I ever ended up looking for. No one ever knows what it's about or ever heard of it. Air Fortress is awesome! It's also pretty difficult so if you're like me in the 90's, you drew level maps for the mazes you had to explore... Schmup for the approach, metroid exploration to blow up the core, then a timed escape sequence before you can progress to the next level. Without the password system no one would ever beat this game.

Love Shatter Hand, more people need to play that game. When we were kids, my brother and I each got to pick a game, and I thought the cover looked cool, so that was mine, he picked Jaws, I win. Really like Bucky O'Hare as well, haven't played the rest of them. I've already got a ton of game I know I want to pick up in backlog, if I ever manage to get through those, I might just check a few of these.

Sorry if this was mentioned already but it should be noted that Crystalis is based on Hayao Miyazaki's Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind...which makes it all that much more awesome. Also one of my fav games on the NES.

Just try Star Tropics. You will like it. Nothing like exploring ancient caves, unlocking hidden doors, traveling from island to island in a submarine and killing things with a yo yo all in the search for your lost uncle.
