It was a good idea to include this. It makes it worth it. The gamecube version of the master quest was SUPER rare and very few people had it. It's awesome that Nintendo decided to include this cool feature.

well actually the puzzles are changed up a bit and the enemy's do double the damage. I find it quite challenging.

MrMinecraftknight There is hardly any puzzles in OoT. About 3 dungeons are completely redesigned while the latter is very unchanged except flipped.

Pumpkinpie3080 I wasn't referring to the Ocarina of Time specifically but Nintendo games in general. I was commenting on the overall trend of Nintendo flipping their games on the highest difficulty. I think it's rather funny and interesting and even really original as few other game companies do this.

Gasp! It's Ocarina of Time Blue Version. Now featuring new monsters and temples that didn't appear in Red Version, but missing some monsters and temples that were in Red Version. So you have to trade with someone who has Red Version to get the monsters and temples onto your version. Or just buy them both.

I worked at Walmart at the time. It was an exclusive for Black Friday when you purchased the Gamecube. I, dumb 18 year old me, did not buy it.

That's so cool. Back when pre-ordering actually gave you something cool instead of content they originally cut.

I bought a 3ds for this game alone. I played it when I was living out of a tent for months in the northern BC woods. I beat it before as a kid but only got as far the bottom of the well this time around; I should just plug the damn thing in and finish the game and play the master quest. Best game of all time!

Because OoT Master Quest was something that existed on Gamecube before the 3DS remake. It was included so that the remake could be the full OoT experience. There was never a Master Quest for Majora's Mask.

I loved that temple. So well thought at and done. It actually felt like a real temple that was abandoned and cursed. It's in my top 10 zelda dungeon list.

I see them releasing it on Switch online when they finally get to the 64 games in 1 more year. So far they did NES, now they are on SNES, next should be 64.

Caolan Robinson Multiple solutions, before going through the boss door, use Farore's Wind, and quick bow the hands. Ik im a year late, but yw if u r still stuck

Have just started Master Quest recently. It was surprisingly challenging at some points. Locked in one room in the water temple with three stalfos that deal double damage...definitely harder than the original version. And I actually got stuck a couple of times (mostly in shadow temple).

What if, NOT ONLY there was a Major's Mask remake, BUT a rendition of Majora's Mask with a Master Quest mode? GENIUS!!!!!!

This video makes me feel like a kid again in all the wrong ways. In other words: I feel I'm being down-spoken because the announcer talks like he's talking to a child.

I remember getting the master quest on the gamecube. I was scared to death about how much harder the water temple was going to be. It actually turned out to be much easier than it's original counterpart.

The only problem with the water temple is that it was tedious. Not that it was difficult. I suppose this is Adult James talking and not Young James. So perhaps the younger version of me did not care for it.

when I played this game on my n64 it was hard as balls .. it took me months to pass .now when it came out on the 3ds I pre ordered it and I played it and beat it in 2 whole days non stop . I am in love with LoZ and the whole moral story :D I really hope they come out with new games like this or twilight princess on 3DS :D

It's kind of silly that you need to beat the original game first. I mean, Ocarina is a classic, but millions of people had already beaten it on the N64, GameCube, and Wii Virtual Console--really should have included the option to play Master Quest right off the bat.

@Yddor1 Easy solution to counter that is to collect all the hearts, get the silver-defense upgrade for your hearts, and make frequent use of Blue Potions and Nayru's Love, as well as carrying around at least one fairy at all times.[Oh, and get all the Bottles] People who want a challenge, though, are gonna be doing 3-Heart runs in this new Master Quest, without defense upgrades or health-restorative bottle items.

when 3ds got out, i wasnt planning to buy one at all, but then OOT with master quest in 3D, Fire emblem... im totally buying one now! :D

Master Quest is made for left-handed people :) Simple logic

i've started the master quest a few hours ago and didn't knew about the double damage, it's challenging and quite fun, you have to be very cautious all the time.

You can do it! Just finished it, the water needs to be raised to the top in the middle room play the song of time and din's fire to light the switches. The rest should be self-explanatory.

@TR3V0R315 It's not so much the difficulty that made the dungeon hard. It was the annoyance of having to go in and out of your subscreen to equip the iron boots, so you could go up and down, up and down, over and over, switching water levels. That on top of trying to remember what doors led to the switches, since everything looked almost the same. The new OoT solves both these problems by *continued in next message due to space*

I beat master quest for the gamecube.. the first few temples weren't that bad, but once I got to the forest temple, things got tougher, and the shadow and spirit temples took FOREVER.

Master Quest may be awesome, but I didn't think it was that difficult. If it limited it you to three hearts as well, now that would have been challenging. And the Water Temple was way easier in this version.

he only does 2 hearts if you have the double defence buff and only 1 if you have nayru's love on i think
