Just got my copy. For me the pulling rate is stable around 1000 Hz. First thing I did was to download the software and the firmware. 500 Hz was already set in the software. I changed it to 1000 Hz, updated the firmware, but the mouse stayed at 500 Hz for some reason. I changed it to 125 Hz and pulling rate checker confirmed 125 Hz. I believe I then changed to 1000 Hz but it stayed at around 700 Hz. I changed to 500 Hz and then back up to 1000 Hz and now it's stable. It's possible that it's a software issue.

Just as a disclaimer, this test isn't meant to be scientific at all. It is just a visual aid for the viewer to understand the problem. Also, you can see the cursor stuttering while I'm doing the test at the same time the hz are dropping. Not sure how reliable that site is. Tried it out with my DAV3 at 4k polling and could only get the max to at around 2k, average at around 1800ish. Just letting you know.

I definitely didn't trust that site. I had my Sora since a couple days back and I had test the polling rate with a few website. I found that this website didn't provide consistence result. One moment, the polling rate is all over the place, the other moment when I retest it back, the polling rate is consistently as close to how it is should be. But, Sora currently is not without its own problem. I notice that Sora has stuttering issue, especially when set to 1000Hz polling rate. It will stutters whenever pc doing any ram intensive workload. If it is set to 500Hz polling rate, the stutters is less frequent if not, has gone completely.

I have felt the issues you are talking about and I hate it. I love the mouse but cant deal with the issues. will be returning this mouse.

very surprised more reviewers don't test the polling rate... especially after the burst pro air's mumbo jumbo that could only ever get up to 900hz.

Excellent video. That steady polling rate is important imo... a deal brraker for me. Are you sure there werent any issues with the testing process?

Yah, this is really easy to test. Definitely a faulty mouse. It was completely unusable 75 percent of the time.

@@bluemangroup_1828 it's normal for polling rate to vary depending on how fast the mouse movement. So 950 seems fine. But getting 800hz is a qc issue.

@@jonny555333 Yea, if you do more consistent circular motions, it should average 990+. Atleast my sora is.

Definitely RMA you're Sora because I just checked mine and it gives me normal results for a mouse to 1,000hz polling. In fact, I just tried 4 other mice and they all had similar results. The more I use the Sora the more it grows on me!

Thanks man! I should have put that in the video but yep, i upgraded to the latest firmware. Also their firmware updater was buggy as hell. Felt really cheap lol.

Boardzy noted its at 500hz by default from factory and you have to change it to 1000hz. Did you get a new copy and issues sorted, any updates? Without this issue, this seems like one of the best mice on the market!

as far as im aware this dpi issue is caused by them using a shitty mcu (making the cx look godlike in power...), the same they used on the 3335, making the mouse not being capable to maintain polling stability. You should check it with default debounce settings, ive been told its a bit more stable with those

Hey I was also getting random shuttering with Sora and I switched to a USB 2.0 port instead of 3.0 and the issue went away

Mine averages 990+, are you sure you are doing the test right? You should be moving the cursor in a fast circular motion.

It's not flawed if other mice can perform as expected with the same testing method... 1000hz mouse should sit at 1000hz almost all the time when the mouse is moving. This abnormal dipping is unacceptable.

This wasn't a test, it was a visual demonstration. The problem was already there, i felt it in game constantly. So i felt a problem, used a visual demonstration, what's wrong with that? My mouse even lags all over the desktop, any use it's lagging.
