Hey Pierre! Just for a correction the gpstar doesn’t require any soldering we made sure of that since we know most people avoid that the most. Keep up the great work great video as always!

Oh man I'm so sorry I didn't know! That's a game changer! Did the initial kits require soldering? Maybe that's where I got my wires crossed (Pun intended) hahaha! I do nothing.. It's you guys who are doing the awesome work!

​@@SquadCollector no worries! I think it's the de-soldering of the wires from the hasbro wand board that might have threw you off. It's a preferred way but not required as one can snip-and-strip them off the board. I demonstrated it in my install video and how easy it is to de-solder and doesn't require any soldering knowledge. All of our kits including Frutto add-ons were created to be solderless.

Ive had my Ninjatunes board for a year now and love it,im finally putting in a C&A props smoke kit ,should be here any day now ,and a wand keepalive with the upgraded bar graphics to go in I had a wastelands vent kit ,but its coming out after watching your video ,with that said i dont remember having to change the connector to the three wire plug for the cake light/strobe plug. Fun times ahead next when i opener her up. I run an external talent cell so i can unplug and charge it without having a kill switch ,ive also worked out if you have it playing in jukebox mode once started you can flick the main red switch back across and then if you turn the talentcell off /on it will then fire up the start up sequence.

Love this! It is so awesome!! This pack really warrants an accuratization, correct weathering, shadowing, wear, etc. Also you should maybe team up wit GPStar to get the accurate wand -> pack interaction. WIth his special wand pcb. It is exactly accurate to Stephen Dane's 1983 designs, how the pack was meant to interact with the wand going by the wand decals. Also with no firing delays Although the original screen used has 13 leds on the powercell, FYI

Great walkthrough. I went with the GPStar kit. While the install is more in depth, everything works in-sync and the customization is deep. They are also constantly updating the software which is also great, hell they just dropped wi-fi and an attenuator.

You can't go wrong with either! Think of GP Star as a Rolls Royce all the bells and whistles (comes at a price) and Ninja Tunes as a Mercedes Benz. Thanks for watching!

LOVE my NinjaTunes board. If you're going to be wearing your pack a lot, I highly recommend mounting the mode switches somewhere you can actually reach yourself without taking the pack off. Moving them out of the Cyclotron is a must, but putting them in the snack compartment still means that you are going to have a hard time reaching them, if you just want to play a song, without removing the pack. (or getting help) I bought the newer Spongeface wand keepalive board, instead of the original one. After trading a few messages with the man himself, he was pretty sure that electrically, there's no difference between the two that should interfere with NinjaTunes. And since the newer one keeps the wand alive even with the rumble motor going, I definitely wanted that one. I'll be installing mine in a few days, now that my 84 wand finally arrived, so I'll confirm for sure once I verify it's all good!

Yeah I'm going to have to figure it out. I might get an Attenuator kit and wire all the switches into it. That'll make it easier. Yeah I put the newer ghostlab42 keep alive and can confirm it works! WOO HOOO!

1st, thank you so much for thus run-down!! 2nd i need this kit in my life and in my pack!!! LoL 😂 you ever notice people do the electronics or the cosmetics on there haslab packs. You and i are the only two i know of personally that focuses on both the cosmetics and the electronics!!! Very awesome rig you've got there!!! I'm literally right behind you!! LoL i need to get my order placed for the ninja!!!

That sound removing the cyclotron lid was an update to newer kits. The older kits like mine do not do that.

No way! I guess I lucked out by dragging my butt to buy this hahaha. I originally didn't have the sound but when I removed the ground jumper (Cyclotorn cover) I soldered on when I first got the pack the sound started to work.

Hey awesome video you’re video really made me want to get this kit but one thing I was kind of sad about was the 84 shut down when u take off the ribbon cable on the stock kit it does that but I guess I can live without it lol and sorry if I missed something. Thanks

It really is a great kit for the money you spend. The ribbon cable disconnect still works with it. It just doesn't on mine because I have it setup differently. Thanks for watching!

Hello Pierre, on the ninja tuns kit 12 volt are used to power the pack isn't the wand and the cyclotron leds run off of 5 volts , does the ninja tuns kit step down the voltage to 5 volts ? Thank you .Paul

I saw something odd when i was signing uo for. You can touch the top nob for the while the pack is on?

You saw correctly :) You shouldn't touch/adjust the top wand knob while everything is running it messes with the voltages and makes the wand fire. It will not damage anything. Hope that helps!

I can't afford Wes hahaha! Try reducing the resolution to 1080p? No issues viewing on any systems over here.

I would just remove the wand speaker. It's useless.

The voltage disruption might not allow the NinjaTunes board to communicate with the wand.
