PLEASE NOTE: you need a minimum of 250ml of Water for Pressure Cooking this rice Since creating this video I now use the Pot-in-Pot method for rice as I find this so much better. Here is the link to the video for that option - kzread.info/dash/bejne/aoadmZieZta2ido.htmlsi=TpoOD-fF5oc5vbkz

I'm now to the Ninja and have just bought a 15 in 1 and have been searching around for some recipes. I tried your chicken recipe and it was just as you said moist on the inside and coloured on the skin side. Keep up the good work and keep explaining exactly what you do with the 15 in 1 because that's a tremendous help to older people.

Thanks so much for watching and leaving me a comment. The chicken is so good!! Glad you liked it too. Rice is a simple one but handy to know how to do. I’ll definitely be doing more videos, currently recovering from a foot operation but I’m itching to get back in the kitchen

@@susannahskitchen I use it every time I pressure cook, and alter the delay time by whatever time I want to add on. So for corn on the cob I PC for 5 minutes then delay for 10. They are perfect, cooked but not soggy. New potatoes, 5 mins PC and around 8 mins delay (depending on the size of the potatoes). I use the delay function a lot as it cuts down hugely on the amount of steam in the kitchen.

Hi, yes you need to extend the time. I’d try 15 minutes with 400g rice use 525ml water. Obviously you can half this if needed. Time allows remains the same. Pressure cook on high with a 5min natural release. I’ve not tested this but that’s what I think. Maybe someone else has tested who can comment x

Hi Paula, thanks for watching. I don’t see why not, rice in the bottom and veg on the rack. I’m sure it would work I’ve just not tried it. Quick release takes around (est) 2mins and natural release can take 20mins. Natural release is better for meats but if meat is in liquid then quick is ok too. Basically anything that doesn’t benefit from extra cooking time like eggs, veg then I’d use quick release. I hope that helps a bit… I’m still learning!!

Hi! Inspired by your video, I purchased the Ninja Foodi 7.5L 15-in-1. My goal was to make perfect rice first before trying any verity rice dishes. However, when I add 2 cups of water to 2 cups of rice, the machine stops without building up pressure. My understanding is that the rice absorbs water before pressure can build up. Could you please advise me on how to fix this issue?"

Hi, If you see my pinned comment below, it was an error in my video and you always need a minimum of 250ml of water to come to pressure and I stated 200ml. Cooking in the bottom of the pot works well but personally I like the pot-in-pot method the best and I have a video on that if you'd like to try that instead - kzread.info/dash/bejne/aoadmZieZta2ido.html

Similar problem for me. Mine didn't reach pressure, message, 'No pressure' came up and had started burning the rice.Valve was shut though. I then looked in Ninja recipe book pressure cooking chart and it says 250ml water for 200g basmati, 2 mins, 10 min delayed release. So exactly the same but slightly more water.

@@susannahskitchen Thanks I'll take a look. I was concerned because I use my ninja every day, so I don't want to make it malfunction and be potentially damaged by following recipes. I've since double checked and the minimum is 250ml of water/ stock for pressure cooking (Pg 51 top right corner of guide - "The volume of water can remain the same for all food volumes - but always use at least 250ml water so the unit can build pressure").
