NINJA FOODI MAX 15 in 1 JACKET POTATOES - Which Cooking Method is Best?

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

I normally microwave my Jacket Potatoes and air fry them with a drizzle of Olive Oil and Salt. However, I wanted to discover if it was possible to make them just as good but only using the Ninja Foodi Max 15 in 1.
I Pressure Cooked and then Air Fried one potato and the other I surely Air Fried....but which one was the best method and gave me a fluffy crispy baked potato?!?!

    Seasoned veteran here when it comes to jacket potatoes. Ninja - Steam setting, add a cup of water, prick the spuds, steam for 10 minutes. Pour the water away, dry the spuds, rub olive oil and salt into them, then air-fry function for 20 mins on 200 degrees. Potatoes will be banging gorgeous with a lovely crispy skin. No need to waste time pressure-cooking them. Voila.

    Try a South African braai fav … onions and baked spuds. For the BBQ wrap onions/ spuds in foil. Place them in the bottion of the fire pit. Place combustibles on top, Light, then braai the meat, once the required heat is achieved. Once meat is cooked rake out onions/ spuds. Remove foil. Spuds should have hard/ burnt skins, onions should have crispy/ burnt skins. Can be modified for Ninja.

    That’s great instructions! What about microwaving for 10 mins and then air fry? Thanks so much for helping with the 15 in 1, the instructions that come with the machine are pretty poor! You have saved my life!

    It’s a lot to read in the instructions and I need to watch something to understand it better. Yes definitely can microwave, put oil and salt on the skin after and then air fry. I was just trying to make it purely in the ninja as some people don’t have microwaves. I think that pressure cooking it and microwaving have very similar results.

    Hi, When its slow cooking you wouldn't know its switched on, almost silent. Baking is pretty quiet too. Air Fry is the noisiest as it's using the fan to circulate the air

    Could this be done in "one take" by using the "steam and airfry"-setting instead of manually doing the two-step "first pressure and then airfry"?

    If I pressure cook 4 potatoes and then freeze them. Do I completely defrost before air-frying or can I cook from frozen & if so for how long? Thanks.

  • @susannahskitchen

    @susannahskitchen

    Hi, personally I would defrost as to get them defrosted in the middle you could over cook the skin in the air fryer. I suppose on a lower heat for a longer time it could be ok. I’ve not tested this so may need a trial
