I live in a very tiny studio with limited counter space, but I had room for a dedicated space for small Ikea Island and the Ninja fits well on it. I also bought the cutting board to place top of the unit and that gives me space to place cooked food taken from the oven. Love it!!!!!

I had the older model of this. Had being the operative word. I loved that it did everything, but to clean it after doing a roast or roasting a chicken was such a pain in the behind. If they made it self cleaning then I would consider again. Also, I did not like the controls on the handle. I had to pull it all the way forward so the controls didn’t hit the counter. Love you guys!

Thank you so much for this video. I've been waiting for you to review this oven. Of course, there are already some reviews and cooking videos about this Ninja but I really appreciate your way of testing and rating. I'm not so much worried about the cleaning, if you don't let the grease "burn in" and you put a dish with water, vinegar, dish soap in the oven let it warm up to the point where it produces some steam (don't boil it), you wait for like 15 minutes (depending on how greasy the oven really is perhaps a bit longer). Then you can just clean it with a soft microfibre cloth or whatever you have just don't scratch the surface in order to speed things up. Not a good idea and not at all necessary. With a bit of steam all comes off just fine. Would love to see a review of the HY Sapientia 22 L Dual Zone Air Fryer Oven. It's not on German market as of yet but it IS interesting. It doesn't take up too much space and can cook small (without having to heat up all 22 liters of space) or large portions using the full capacity.

Hey hope all is well with you! I JUST bought this Air Fry Oven and your video was the reason why i bought it in the first place so thank you so much for the review! now that we are well into June of 2024, how has this same unit been? Did the interior get dirtier and harder to clean? I had a Chefman toaster oven that just recently died which was EXTREMELY annoying to scrub due to the rack grooves. Do you still rate it an 8.7? Did you also find any other caveats or inconveniences after this vid has been posted? Much appreciated for your response! And thank you again for making such a detailed video!

@@TheAverageKitchen and why always the hate from Marc regarding dehydration? I use this oven to dehydrate regularly. I make candy with Orange and Lemon peels so I have to dehydrate them. I also dehydrate then smoke Jalapenos to make Chipotle peppers. It does a wonderful job. The fact that so many Ninja products dehydrate is pretty awesome. Having five or more appliances that dehydrate is amazing and greatly helps for food preservation and meal prep! I may have to personally start a series about dehydration with Ninja appliances! Dehydrate ftw!

I am currently torn between this Ninja Foodi XL and the KitchenAid KCO124BM (the one on your back counter). Any advice? It mainly comes down to size - I love that I could cook so much more in the Ninja, but it's soo big - not really a counter space saving concern, but rather it's so obtrusive in my small kitchen. I would actually be using this as a substitute for my main oven, not for toast/bagels. I estimate if I had the Ninja I would be using it about 80% of the time (20% using my full deck oven) and if I had the KitchenAid 65% of the time (35% using my full deck oven). While I have always generally preferred using a toaster for toast/bagels/English muffins/etc., if one of these does a great job at toasting I would consider getting rid of my toaster to save space. Any and all advice is appreciated, thanks!

  • @TheAverageKitchen

For me it's simple: The NInja has a better price tag, and if that means 80% of your cooking vs 65%, then it's even better value for you personally. I love the Ninja since I've started using it, and i know Marc loves the KitchenAid. They're both great, but why spend more? Hope this helps! - J

I think I'm sold on one of these for functionality, price point and size. All my electricity is free from early March up to October/November when the solar system is at peak so this is propane saver for me. I use the kitchen aid every day in my kitchen, and I have for well over a year. Jamie kept the ninja in his kitchen. We both think they are great products. But I’d go kitchen aid personally. Marc

I’m looking at buying one! Does the Air fry compare well to an actual air fryer? And from Winnipeg!

It air frys well for sure, but it's a bit messy and not as easy to shake/mix the contents. Thanks for watching! - J

Pls cook in ot what folks cook, not highly processes food only. Cook some chicken thighs, etc. The harder stuff. I heard this machine ranks a zero when cooking meat.

@TheAverageKitchen this item is an expensive counter top oven. Not a simple toaster oven. Your testing appeared to be at the toaster oven level, not as an oven, with cakes, meats, cookies, etc. Not simple things like bagels.

I've had this oven for a few yrs and i can say without a doubt, it is the worst appliance for keeping clean. The food becomes one with the inside oven. Lol Reviews are horrible for the cleaning.

Agree. And because it sits on work top level, it catches the eye every time you walk in to the kitchen. I find Oven Pride the best for cleaning. After cleaning, heat it up for half hour or so. Doesn't get it properly clean, but the patches seem to fade a little.

It's easy as hell to clean.... Just wipe it down after every use like you should do after using every appliance and it will forever look brand new. Mine is a few years old and looks the same as one fresh out of the box....
