What a time in life to have gone plant based almost 6 months ago and being able to enter your home and observe with wonder and curiosity this kind and level/degree of eating. I have had both ninja models sitting in a new home I purchased almost two years ago and between yourself and Kathy Hester have pulled them out and feel like a child in the kingdom. Thank you again and on goingly for your willingness to present and raise awareness -my father taught me early on the only prayer I needed on a daily basis was to pray for Mercy and Grace and finding plant based eating is a rebirth imho - I am watching anything and everything you have posted and very grateful,to have found you and your husband 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Thank you so much for this. I was looking at the ninja creamy at one of the Black Friday sales and came to KZread to learn about it. The first video I watched made it so much more complicated than it needed to be. It pretty much talked me out of buying it. Thankfully I looked at one more video and you've convinced me that I need it lol

This looks delicious. I’ve been looking at the Creami, but lack of counter/storage space is my #1 barrier to purchasing. I skip the labels and just Sharpie right on the container lid. Hand sanitizer or alcohol cleans it off to write again. One less thing to manage.

Love this one, I made without chocolate chips though. Next time I will make it with them! Cool labels. I use waterproof ones I got from my rubber stamping use. They work so well since my husband mixes up his own CREAMi pints so we can distinguish between them. I just put his name on it and we can still wash the lid with it on, lasts and lasts when using a permanent marker.

I mostly use the unsweetened Cacao Chips from Santa Barbara Chocolate. I order them on line. The HU brand has some as well. You might find HU and other brands at Whole Foods, Target or health food stores.

I am so glad you liked it. With the peanut butter powder or peanut butter it is going to be a higher calorie density treat and not something I would have every day but a once a week treat why not. We are all different in what stands in our way of being able to lose weight so it's going to be an individual choice. For weight loss I myself would stick with the all fruit sorbets. like just banana with some vanilla, crushed pineapple in it's own juice, unsweetened applesauce, canned peaches in their own juice etc. Hope that helps!

Hi Tammy, i haven'[t commented in a while. I been watching Chef AJ making recipes, with her machine. I bought myself the Nutramilk machine, after i lost my 100 lbs, a yr ago, been maintaining for over a yr now, lost it in just over 3 yrs.. I am now 70 & feel 30 something, following her videos & urs too. I made myself, ban/strawberry with vanilla nice cream tonight for dessert. I love this, but, do not NEED it, with spending mega bucks on the Nutramilk machine. So, i will make this recipe, in it, i just have to get some choc chips, haven every thing else. tfs , nice editing Tom. take care xo

is this very different than just blending frozen banana and plant milk in a vitamix?

Yes it is different. The Vitamix makes an awesome soft serve and we love it. The Ninja CREAMi makes it a super creamy smooth scoop-able ice cream not a soft serve. It’s quite different in texture. The taste is the same. But you can take one ingredient like a can of applesauce or crushed pineapple and turn it into ice cream that is scoop able it’s quite amazing.

I assume when you respin the remnants, the chocolate chips are blended into the ice cream, correct? Or would you just mix again?

Re: counter space... how many care about garage space before they buy another tool? This is a tool that will let you use up more fruit during the high season and (in my house) would easily pay for itself in one season. Store in the pantry until needed.

You could blend it using the milkshake mode.

Can't you do the sane thing in your Vitamix?

You can make awesome soft serve in the Vitamix and we do! The Ninja CREAMi makes a scoopable icream out of so many different simple ingredients like canned pineapple, applesauce that are the texture of store bought I cream that can be scooped and doesn’t melt into a puddle as quickly! Both are great - just different! 💜

With all due respect, I can’t understand why the Ninja Creami is being so heavily promoted by WFPB KZreadrs whose channels typically focus on weight loss without any sort of disclaimer that these are extremely calorically dense treats. For example, what you’re making is over 1000 cal per pint (1/4 cup of cacao chips alone is 480 cal). We know that there are people watching your channel struggling to lose weight who could easily eat the entire pint and you’re not even mentioning this. Even smoothies have been eschewed by WFPB KZreadrs whose focus is weight loss because of their high caloric density and this is no different, perhaps even worse. p.s. Even using fruit, for example, the pineapple Dole Whip that everyone is promoting, or even just bananas is about 400 cal per pint.

This is a very good point. While many people are trying to lose weight, I think the emphasis of this group is mainly SOS free eating. Even Chef AJ has some calorie-dense desserts, but they are all very clear that these are rare/occasional treats. I am still on the fence about this machine (no counter space) but my husband likes ice cream and buying the store-bought dairy-free crap is expensive. It would be nice to have ready-made pints for him to mix up using whole ingredients, with me indulging once in a while once I reach my goal weight. But your point is well taken.

If you make the sorbet with just fruit it can be as little as 100 calories per pint. I think it would be hard to eat a whole pint of the more calorie dense recipes. They are quite filling and have a lot of fiber usually. Often I can get 3 servings from a pint. But yes if on a weight loss program one does have to consider caloric density and serving size.
