SOLVED: For issues with the clutch pack not engaging after installing new plates and springs, the steel clutch cover that goes on after the clutch pack is installed and before the springs are installed needs to be rotated 90 degrees. When you do this, it will seat 1-2mm deeper on the pack. Once this is done, when you pull on the pull rod that's in the center of the clutch, it will also pull the entire clutch pack toward you. That's how you know the cover is installed correctly. Lastly, the pull rod has to go on before the bearing and clutch cover are installed. My buddy and I spent 12 hours troubleshooting this problem and this was the solution. Good luck!

+Marcus Michael Yeah, i thought the clutch arm pushed back the clutch cable but it's actually the other way around. So as long as the clutch cable is hooked up correctly IT pushes the little arm up and down. So just attach the clutch cable in the same way the stock cable is done up and you should be sweet

+Edward Huynh But the clutch release comp is loose, so when you engage your lever how does it return to its place? Isn't there supposed to be some type of spring reaction? Also do you know why it is so slow. Normally people have it fit higher up at like 11o'clock?

Same thing. Just happened last night. I have a frayed cable and then this happened too. I think it just need to be installed again. But like others said missing spring action. I didn’t think it was the clutch levers job to push it back. Thought that was on the transmission... Edit: it slips back in and twists clockwise to its original position. It’s a bitch and a half to move it by hand. But no spring is needed. It is pushed back by the transmission. Just got to wiggle it into place. Read your manual to get the exact way to get it back in.
