Saw a couple comments, that he seems tired. I don't think so however there aren't a huge amount of people there. It is beautiful, but there aren't. He is planning to be up north for several more days going to another place (with many more people) before eventually starting to head more south. Then there will be more than you can count. :)

Still prefer the Thailand series as quite some elements were missing here.

As someone who would never be able to do a trip like this because of my physical disabilities, it is wonderful to live these adventures through you. Love your choice of peaceful music. Cheers, Paul.

Beautiful video. Happy to visit Vietnam. Beautiful country. My only earlier visit was during different times in 1966/67. Vietnam was beautiful then as well but politically was unsettled. Happy to see them prospering today.

I did 2 tours in Vietnam 1970-1973. The only thing that hasn't changed is the heat and the humidity. I am in Saigon now and this is my 4th visit since 2020

You see peace in that man’s face who’s rowing the boat. Very skillful, towing with his hands and feet. Much respect for those people who do that for a living. Your videos are wonderful and you are authentic.

Paddy just want to complement you on how far you’ve come since the beginning. Been watching since the first video and your drone footage you’re editing the music you use has just gotten better in every video. Your channel is starting to look like it could be on the discovery channel and be a number one hit. Keep it going.

@@PaddyDoyle. I agree with Robert. I am not here from the start but for a while and loving photography myself and filming only rare but more too. I have to say you are doing a splendid job. And not to forget your unique laugh which is so catching! keep it up.

Do you ever shed tear of joy when you visit these magical places? So beautiful. Regarding people blasting music at these areas, I have no problem asking them to turn it off. If we don't educate them they will continue to ruin special places for the rest of us. Great series on Vietnam, can't wait to visit soon.

Absolutely yes! My tears of joy had kept rolling on my face when I first saw the spectacular bright golden rice terraces covering all of the gigantic mountains in Sapa; it was overwhelming. It's just unforgettable!

Vietnam is truly a gem of a country as far as the country side is concerned. I used too think Thailand was the ultimate in that regard but this has changed my mind

Absolutely stunning scenery and I love the way you take us along with you. That new drone is really paying off and the footage is simply amazing. Next level for sure.

Having watched all your videos from Thailand and now Vietnam...so far Vietnam is winning over Thailand! Cool vlogs Paddy Doyle :) Question for you, have you considered "bungy cording your backpack across the back to take pressure off your back, looks like it would work? :) Safe travels to you.... :)

Yeah, once again it's so darned beautiful. Must say I'd love to be sat on that boat right now chillin' down that river. Minus the bloody music that is ! I'm 100% with you on that one. Music in public places like parks drives me mental. But in that location I just can't for the life of me understand it. Anyway, superb once again Paddy. Thanks mate.

You can read "The Happiest Refugee" by Anh Do and you'll know and understand the stories, pain and happiness of many vietnamese boat people.

As much as I loved the Thailand adventures, I've got to say, Vietnam is definitely 'Next Level' as far as the landscape and scenery! I really appreciate seeing it through your perspective. This will bring back great memories for me Paddy, from 4 years ago. Absolutely loved Ninh Binh and Tam Coc, and will return one day. 🙏🏻🙏🏻

Back in 2009 we did a trip around South East Asia which included Thailand, Laos and Cambodia. I'm now majorly regretting not going to Vietnam too, this all looks so stunning!! Absolutely incredible, thanks so much for sharing it with us. I doubt I'll ever be able to go back and tick off Vietnam as well, so I'm really enjoying seeing it vicariously through you :)

I love love LOVE Ninh Binh and will never tire of the drone footage of the dragon on top or the boats on the river. You didn't eat goat while you were there - they're known for great goat meat. You also missed the biggest temple complex in the world - Bai Dinh Pagoda.

Absolutely agree with you about the music... I think most of them don't even know where they are and why they are there, so they just spend their days like that and drinking beers all day.

Stunning place, I agree you look tired, take a break. But I'm so amazed for the beauty of this country

Wow, you picked the best time to journey to Vietnam. The landscapes are so green and beautiful. The image you filmed of the boat driver is just beautiful. As for the Russians disrespecting nature, the Vietnamese are not fond of them either.

Vietnam is not yet a developed country , but definitely the most beautiful in South East Asia . Compared to Thailand , Vietnam is like Cinderella . It was underrated for so long . Hope more and more tourists will come to discover the gorgeous Vietnam . You are all welcome here

@@hungcuongnguyen293 The problem with Vi et is that the people throwing trash indiscriminately, serving unsafe and unsanitary food, committing lies, cheats, and stealing. Could you imagine the Vi et people behaving like the people of Singapore or Japan?

Great vlogg mate been watching your stuff since the very beginning, i enjoy how you have morphed from the backpacking need to be around people person , to now enjoying the tranquillity that life has to offer . I am loving your vlogs - photography and your commentary are amazing. About 18 years ago I briefly visited Vietnam and went to Hanoi & Ho Chi Minh City + a few other locations ... it is so good to see more of this beautiful country. Glad to see Ninh Binh hasn't gone down hill like Sapa. Was lucky enough to go there in 93 when the first Sars was happening and very few tourists. We had met a Welsh couple in Holong Bay ( which was great 👍) And went there together. Did the same boat ride (without the music). I can't recall seeing any other tourists apart from the four of us.

Loving your new drone. Just epic beautiful photography of Vietnam! You are a master at using it. If that is a hostel what does a resort look like in Vietnam. Love those musty ancient spooky temples. Great video Paddy. Looking forward to more, loving the adventure.

I only spent three days in Vietnam on my last visit, but this was one of my top experiences and one of the reasons I'm going back soon for a one month motorcycle trip.

Once again I am absolutely blown away by the views in Northern Vietnam! Your drone footage is spectacular Paddy. Do you use an ND filter on your drone? If so, do you use a specific on usually (i.e. 16, 32, 64, etc)? This Vietnam series is SO much fun!

Vietnam looks absolutely gorgeous from your videos. As "backpackers" of a similar age to you this video reminds us of our own frustrations in over touristy areas. We hope to visit Vietnam one day soon and by bike looks like the best way to do it! Having a grandfather who fought in the Vietnam War is a big motivator (especially while he is still alive to share the stories).

Ninh Binh has a special dish of goat meat. Lots of different delicious dishes made from goats. The goats are raised completely naturally in the mountains. You must try it when you come here

What puts your vlog apart from many others I am watching about Vietnam, besides your amazing videography and your drone footage, is that I can feel your amazement and awe, the gratitude to be able to experience this much beauty. Also the respect you pay to the local people and those you deal directly with, like the man paddling the boat or the sleeping backpackers. It makes watching your videos such a treat that I can barely stop (and thus miss out on much sleep). I'll definitely be going to follow you on many more adventures. I swear, this is like watching a big budget Nat Geo production, but a lot more intimate. I believe this series may just be the defacto go to for people that really want to understand the beauty and culture of Vietnam. Your camera work and editing are just spell-binding Paddy! I have been telling folks about this series on my social channels and the feedback from Paddy first-timers is resoundingly enthusiastic. Too many KZreadrs don't dwell long enough with their shots at a given place to really capture the essence of it - they could really learn from your style!
