In my early 40s, I was in a slump and stopped accepting popular entertainment such as TV, travel, and novels.
That's when I discovered philosophy.
It was difficult, but I read it over and over again.
I read a lot, but I liked Schopenhauer and Nietzsche.
I was particularly impressed by Nietzsche.
I acquired the habit of thinking. I learned the joy of thinking.
It didn't get better right away, but it doesn't matter if you don't get the answer.
At least, I came to think that I have to live beautifully.
Around this time, he also became dependent on alcohol.
His hands were trembling, he couldn't concentrate, he couldn't play the guitar.
His was so shocked that his stopped drinking for about four months.
Basically, I like alcohol, but since this happened, I try not to drink before and during the live.
By the way, Nobu also likes alcoholic beverages, but Suzuki can't.
In addition to 「Abyss」, I made 「Dottoharai」 when the joy of writing poetry was revived.
「Dottoharai」 was also influenced by “Dada” (Dadaïsme.)
Wajima said it was a song he had a special attachment to.
I was shocked when I read a collection of poems by “高橋新吉”(Takahashi Shinkichi/1901-1987）, a Japanese Dadaist poet.
It's a unique interpretation by a Japanese person, but it's wonderful to dismantle the Japanese language once and slam your own sensibility into it.
