Ninebot One (UK) - First Ever Hands on and Ride!
Buy yours at SpeedyFeet.co.uk - many have! You will not be disappointed! www.speedyfeet...
We couldn't wait to test ride the Ninebot One! None of us have ever ridden a single wheel electric vehicle before (although I must confess I have ridden a unicycle around 10 years ago a few times.....after many injuries of course!). It was amazing easy to pick up, and as you can see with just 10 minutes of riding I was ready to go out and ride for miles!
There are cheaper single wheel units out there - but they are inferior and no where near as good! You get what you pay for!
There are no jumps or stunts in this....unless you call falling off a stunt! lol .........

It's weird watching this now after almost 5 months of owning one. I watched this whilst on hols with wife and kids in France and was immediately hooked. Everyone thought I was mad (normal day for me) but as soon as I got back to England ordered my NB1. Now I watch this a just remember what it was like to see one of these for the first time and how difficult I thought it was going to be to learn (replace difficult with painful 😉)... Now I commute everyday to work and love it (almost 100 miles 😊). Thanks for the fun times !!! never gonna grow up !

It is fun to see your "first steps" on one of these today. Even the best was a beginner once. But really impressive that you were able to drive it after just 20 seconds - you are probably born to ride these machines. :-)

+Nuth34d Thanks for watching and the comments. The main problem with speed is the risk of actually killing yourself or breaking something goes up hugely. The fastest a unicycle should be able to travel is as fast as you can sprint from standing. That way if a total failure happens you can run, roll out of it with no injury.
@Nuth34d
8 жыл бұрын
Ninebot UK I absolutely agree, It's just that alot of the youth nowadays has the tendency to get a thrill out of the speed (( Including myself )) I understand your concern about one's health but normally, a good percentage of the riders wear protective gear. Just a thought.

It gets top marks for compactness and portability if you don't need to carry anything. I won't switch from cycling because - my carrier basket can, at a whim, carry five bags of groceries or other items. - in blustery wind I can still ride the bicycle, but I suspect the Ninebot's balancing system would not cope. Anyone know? Bruce Thomson in New Zealand.

+Bruce Thomson Basket, well no chance of sticking on on the front of this :) BUT, I have carried 2 passengers (kzread.info/dash/bejne/m4l-z9WKfNXYebQ.html) - in all seriousness a backpack is fine. Ninebot Owns Segway ;)
@NowhereBeats
9 жыл бұрын
Ninebot UK Yes, Segway sued Ninebot, but the Chinese court always sides with the Chinese company, so Segway lost the case and a lot of money. And then Ninebot, supported by some other Chinese companies and government officials, came to an agreement to buy Segway. But still since then the product and original Segway hasn't been sold in Hong Kong, it sucks that it is stuck in corporate limbo and they are so many blocks on Chinese government backed companies in Hong Kong. They were rumors that a Hong Kong company would buy Segway from the Chinese but I doubt it. Hopefully Japan will, they like 珍道具(I don't know the English word) things.
So COOL ! Beautiful design! It would be better if the weight is lower. At nearly 13kg for the lightest model, thats a bit too heavy for me to be lugging it around. Any trolley bars to go along with it?

No legislation in the UK, used by 1000's of users across the UK, if you go into central London you will most likely see one (well an Electric Unicycle, not necessarily a Ninebot). Great bits of kit!
Has Top Gear really been off the air for that long, why, for the sake of Pete, are you measuring distance in Kilometres?!

Tony Ferber Jeremy told me to do it! In reality its that the APP measures in Kilometres... (well it did back then, its had an update since that allows both Miles and KM)

I see. Are they going to update it with a seat option like the Honda one?

I don't think there will be a seat fitted, technically on this unit I guess it would be possible, you do lose a lot of control over the unit though (cant turn as tight, slower stopping/accelerating etc). I have however ridden it sat down....as a joke...kzread.info/dash/bejne/onaomsRyZsiWoJM.html

Such a great time of discovery when these things first came out. Get the same buzz with new models.
