Yeah Nina Hagen is „LITERALLY“ one of a kind! In German there is the saying „Genie und Wahnsinn liegen dicht bei einander“ (engl.: „genius and madness are close to each other“) and she embodied that saying since almost 50 years on stage and is still to this day even as 65 years old she is still completely chaotic and extraordinarily energetic,

YASSSSS! Nina is one of my heroes. We used to dance to her stuff like "New York New York" (not the Sinatra song, I assure you) and "Flying Saucers". She and her father were exiled from East Germany because they were too crazy to deal with but also too famous to just make them disappear. Formal opera training. Love that you did this!

Nina Hagen is 10 times crazier than all Rammstein members combined. Till Lindemann would run for his life every time he met her. Our US friends must think in Germany they are all completely crazy when they see Rammstein and Nina Hagen. Nina Hagen belongs actually already for 40 years in the madhouse, but nobody in Germany dares to catch her :-) :-)

Nina is so good, remember she is doing this live!. I saw her 4 times from about 1980 to the late 80's and it was always a trip of a show. Such a diverse catalogue of music. Early stuff was almost jazz/rock with her first band on her debut and Unbehagen, and then she went where she wanted to go, doing disco, punk, and the ultimate NunSexMonkRock album. A true pioneer for all the ones that came after.

Both the Tubes and the Nina Hagen band where among the view rockbands accepted in that punk hole I used to hang out in the early 80’s. Unbeschreiblich Weiblich is also amazing. Nina grew up in former East Berlin (that belonged to the Soviet sphere of influence) as a daughter of a popular East German actress and singer (Eva-Maria Hagen) and a Jewish father. Her parents divorced when Nina was little and her step dad became a well known singer songwriter who was critical of the East German regime and had to leave the country. Nina as a free spirit followed him as soon as possible. She then lived in West Germany and has gotten to know many countries on both sides of the former Iron curtain. India and the U.S. became two countries that she favoured.

Oh my god Who is this woman???? I listen to some weird stuff but she is crazy! 😃 So this is from the 70s? I hope she is still around and I have a lot of music to explore from her! Btw. I think the title is made up from two German words: Natur and Träne (so it would be nature tear not natural tear) please~ if there are any native German speakers correct me if I am wrong X3 [I'm learning German in school] It kind of reminded me a bit of Dadaism stuff that I have seen recently but I might be completely off as I don't really understand what Dadaism really is 😂

At that time, she was lead singer of a band named after her. After she departed, they went on under the name Spliff. They had two number one hits here in Germany, Carbonara and Das Blech.

First hearing the LP in 1979 was a revalation for me. The music was never heard in Germany and she had a great part in women liberation.
