I’ve been looking at infrared cameras also. It appears that we are riding the same waves. 👍

Greetings, I stumbled across your channel today while searching for Nikon D200 infrared conversions. I noticed several videos you have on the subject. I have a Nikon D200 that I want not convert and I had a few questions. In one of your videos from last year you mentioned something about the D200 not being sharp enough. Can you expand? Also which lens are using with the D200? Did you get it calibrated to the infrared D200? Any other tips you would care to share? Thanks for your time. New Subscribe from Tennessee USA. Cheers Ron.

Hi there Ron! Great to hear you are going down the IR route 🙂😄 Sometimes the results from the D200 are soft on my camera but it might just mean I need a callibration. I tend to use my 50mm prime lens because when I got it converted they said its best to stick to a prime lens because the focusing can be inconsistent otherwise. I think I will get the camera serviced and callibrated at some point. I have had years of good results with it so it is probably a maintenance thing! I think its good to have one dedicated lens and stick with that and I am definitely going to ask advice about the focusing with a 24-70mm lens next time I get a conversion. It was a long time ago now! It is so much fun! Hope you enjoy it 🙂 Greetings from the UK 🙏🏼
