Nice to see Nikon staying competitive.

This is about as close to a "dream" camera as there has been for my needs. If I hadn't already invested in the L mount, I'd hop over to this camera without a doubt. Really hoping Panasonic can match the specs and experience with the S5III whenever it comes out.

I shoot and am happy with a Fujifilm X-T4, DJI Osmo 3, Canon EOS M (with Magic Lantern), Canon EOS 30D ... BUT I still love watching Lok doing his thing! Even if I'm not on the market for new things.

Great IBIS like the Panasonic S5ii with low rolling shutter like an A7sIII, but priced like a R6ii/A7iv. This thing is a serious video machine.

0:56 that was just so damn smooth opening and closing the card door. Weirdly impressive.

I still remember Kai, not happy with a99 Sony alpha digital viewfinder and imitating it's shape. A lot changed from digitalrev😊. Happy to see you are getting established.

Nikon have the best lenses. Their 50mm 1.8 Z lens is the best in class.

Just wondering why they can’t include Raw pre capture in photo mode. I reckon the image processor Expeed 7 can’t handle it. None of the current Nikon cameras can do pre capture raw

I'd still pick S5II. One simple reason is it has something unique which is the best IBIS of all brands. AF used to be the deal breaker for Panasonic but fortunately it has now fixed. The unique selling point of Z6III is probably ProRes RAW and ProRes but I don't need it, and having to use a mix of CFexpress and SD cards for two cards operation makes it more complicated. There are minor things on both cameras which makes you think Panasonic understand videographers (shutter angle, zebra could be set to simply mid tone of V-Log, etc) while Nikon still a bit odd on video (0-255 value for zebra, what?)

Z5 would be that but limited to 4k60 and no NRaw i hope. Maybe 1999$ ? Or maybe 1799 ?

Wish they would've had the tilt screen. I hate flippy screen

I don't understand why everyone in photog community thinks tilt is better than full articulating screen. Clearly nobody shoot waist level in portrait here, i often find myself doing it. Ever since I moved to mirrorless i rarely used viewfinder and the fact that i don't have to squat for lower level shooting is a blessing. I like that flippy screen is getting more common in higher end bodies. Not to mention it would be an extra screen protection while it's not in use.

~Z63 410EQJ 's old 24MP CMOS has no difference in image quality with D610 D750 ~ Non-native stack brings huge cost increase. It's just flying wires~ You need to worry about power and glue aging caused by overheating and CMOS glass fogging~ There are two glue seals between the flying wires on the CMOS and the CMOS low-pass infrared glass Glue overheating and aging will cause the CMOS low-pass infrared cutoff glass to age and turn yellow. The damage period is uncertain and depends on the heat, but it will definitely be damaged

Great review guys but no body , no NR regular people , no influencers are mentioning or talking about how it's too expensive right now if you outside of the USA and not buying in USD. It's all nothing to see here all good so far.There's a massive problem with this new camera's price and Nikon are having you all on if you are one of those blinded by new camera hype. The global exchange rates in 2024 have made this camera way over priced in the Asia pacific and EU markets. In European market the Z8 price is almost the same price as this new Z6III . Nikons pricing is wrong right now and are just cashing in capitalising on the strength of USA$$'s . In Australia right now it is listed as $4500AUD just for body this is nuts . Australia is 8 hours away from Thailand where it's made and seems to the most expensive place on earth to buy Z6III. So don't buy if you live there just wait . Nikon decided to charge Australian's the most. Australia's nearest English speaking neighbour New Zealand, is most likely going to cost closer to $5000 NZD this is double nutty prices. It seems Nikon is using the USD dollar currency not their own YEN to balance their books and make massive profits now. Really disappointing launch price and will be interesting to watch over the next 12 months any pricing fluctuations that may come depending on exchange rates and any further price adjustments .Many people have capacity and can buy this but will refuse to pay this inflated amount.

@@Renzsu I have lot's of Nikon cameras gear , and can easily purchase I don't need to save up for it , but Im not interested in buying right now. Nikons price on this is wrong for other markets other than USA. The exchange rate is favourable for USD right now for NIKON not their historically low weak Japanese YEN . NIKON want to price products in USD on web site Ebay ect and want these customers in USA for the Thailand made Z6III where labor wages to make these cameras are around $3.50 USD per hour. The Asia pacific regions or EU gets hit with the high price due to USD being strong right now . Its way over the top too expensive in these markets . Nikon don't care , USA is where they make the money and where they sell the most units. Exchange rates against USD $$'s in Asia pacific and EU regions right now are too low causing this Z6III to be very expensive outside USA , not worth it and it no value.

@@destinyangel5 Yeah I mean, sorry I was being blunt, but what can you do about it other than wait and hope for some other camera manufacturer to come along and bring similar features at a lower price.. The Z6III is €3000 here, and yeah that's a lot of money.. it's also a lot better than the Z6II. I don't know about financial markets, but Nikon have shifted their focus to the higher-end of the market. People don't buy cameras like they used to and the low- to mid range full frame camera market is dead I'm afraid.

I expect it to be discounted after the hype goes away in about 6-12 months .Even Z8 is being discounted and superior Z8 isn't that far off the Z6III EU and Asia pacific prices now . You buy the Z8 while its being discounted . It's far superior .

@@destinyangel5 I'm not interested in the Z8, it's too big. I have a Leica M10 that is the perfect size for me, and a first gen Z6 that I mainly use for camera scanning. The Zf is the only mirrorless camera that I'm interested in at the moment. I plan to pick one up either used or heavily discounted. Z6III, Z8, Z9.. I wouldn't buy one unless I was a wedding photographer or somehow using it professionally in some other way.

There is Canon and then there’s everybody else…The bottom feeders so to speak!

Tbh I see only marginal improvements. The Z6ii is a fabulous camera and if you're an event shooter like me (mostly weddings) it's not worth upgrading. Image quality won't be any different in the real world and I just don't care about super duper AF - brides don't move that fast! KZread is full of sensationalist clickbait. If I was going to buy a new camera I'd get a Z8 over a Z6iii any day of the week but I don't need either.
