    super camera, it's a damn tank!!! Got it by an old woman that had it as gift like in '83, and she NEVER used it!!! it was sent to me with the first film still loaded at it first pose. couldn't believe that I made its first shots!!!

    You probably know this but you can easily change the focus screens of these cameras. There is a little lever on the front of the camera above the mirror that let's you pop out the focusing screen. So just change it to a split screen one.

    Hi there, you can switch out the focus screen to one with a split prism in the centre (the k series has this). I personally use the K3 screen from the FM3a in my FM2. Fantastic video btw.

    The split prism screen is actually the one that came with the camera. I guess the one in the video had it swapped out for the plain one at some point. FM2 is great with the split. Definitely worth getting.

    Brilliant review man. I've got a Contax G2 which I love but the auto focus lets me down way too much - really considering the FM2. Thanks for actually including example shots as well, so many camera review videos seem to not include actual shots from the camera they're talking about. Cheers man.

    Thanks man, yeah I’ve heard that the g2 autofocus can be a bit hit and miss. But those Contax Zeiss lenses look so amazing

    The same thing actually happened to me as well! Little pin came out while I was out doing some street shooting. Luckily, the used camera/photography shop I work at has a spare parts bin I was able to find parts.

    I still miss the beautiful ergonomics of the FM2 and FE2. Not to mention the feel of those manual Lenses. I thought I remembered that camera had removable focusing screens....

    Roy Bixby yeah I believe they do, I didn’t realise that back when I made the video. But I have now sold the camera cause I wanted to try some new 35mm setups

    I have one of these durable workhorses. Archeologists will dig these up in at thousand year and immediately shoot with them.

    I used a lot of different films for the samples. there is some portra, Ektar, Fujifilm natura 1600 and provia f

    I will hopefully doing a video on a bunch of the lenses for the Nikon f mount and systems. but ill have to wait till I buy some more and try them out to make sure I can give the best info possible on all of them

    Also one last question I know u might be getting dozen of the same question every day. But if you can help me with this question it would be appreciated alot. I am looking for analogue camera to start doing film photography. At the moment focusing on portraits and landscapes and black and white photography . Ofcourse i will be getting lenses later on with the body i am going to get it. The thing is i am bit lost and confused as there is si plenty of amazing cameras that is too difficult to choose. Here is my 3 pics please could you help me with picking the one which would fit my needs the most? Nikon fm2 50mm f/1.8 Minolta x370 50mm f/1.7 Pentax K1000 50mm f/2 Your advice would help me alot=).

    like and have same lenses and more. if you can find one (not cheap) look at a 135mm f2.8 ais. get an occasional amazing grandchild shot with my af nikkor 300mm f4, oddly. bokeh monster done right

    yeah ive looked at the 135mm before. but ive got the 105mm f2.5 and I think that's go me covered for my tele portrait lenses at the moment. that would be cool to see the results from that 300mm sounds like an amazing lens

    @@lewiswilliamson2444 it's considered by some kind of an odd duck. inexpensive. ha ha yeah the pentax 105. bought a pentax a few years ago, shot a roll of acros to ckeck for leaks (none) absolutley stunned by a wide open shot of my wife.
