I kinda feel you should start your Nikon camera reviews with "I'm a Canon guy but today I'm going to review a Nikon". Then the rest of the review you do kinda makes more sense to me. Nice review but the bias comes through.

I had to turn up the volume then his demonstrates the mic of the camera that was way louder. Kind of stopped watching after that.

Thank you for the review! Love that this camera has wifi and flip screen. I loove editing photos so Nikon has always been my go to for photography. For videos I always you GoPro when I’m traveling. Also thanks for getting go each point right away☺️😊

I own the Nikon D5500 and it is great for street photography and travel photography. And portraits.

Great review (and your audio was fine on my iPhone). My wife already had a Nikon D3000 my dad gave her, with some lenses, so when we stepped up, the 5600 was a logical choice in that price range. She loves her 5600! We also bought additional lenses and do mostly scenery and wildlife photography (she is an artist and is always looking for images to paint.) l decided I liked this model too, so now we each have a D5600 body and several lenses to share - very convenient to keep a long and a short lens on the bodies when we are on outings together. We live in the wilderness in SW Colorado and have lots of wildlife, scenery, etc. We do have occasional times when the autofocus “hunts” a bit, but not usually an issue. We do very little video, but it’s not bad for amateur work and family memories. We have had and used many cameras over the years and I am really Impressed with this camera in this price range. Thanks again for your review.

I just bought my D5600 a couple of weeks ago. I'm going to be at NY Fashion Week this sunday. What would you consider to be the ideal Focus or Autofocus settings while filming/photographing models on the runway? I will be doing photos AND videos. As far as the videos, when the models come forward, I would like the camera to not "noticeably" hunt for the correct lock focus from model to model.

I have been using this camera for years. It is really good. It has TONS of features packed into a small format. You can even hook a giant 70-200mm VR FX lens to it and it works perfectly. It also works superb wide angle. I really like this camera.

Hey, so I'm currently trying to choose between D5600 Nikon and 7T Canon . I've looked at specs and they're are so similar . I'm just beginning but, I have some money to spend on a decent camera and have chosen to skip the d3500 and lower end canons. I'd like to add that I don't know how to edit photos... yet but am willing to learn.

(@Kayt JL @Enam UI Haq) Oh yea it was definitely worth it, tho this was my first camera so i have nothing to compare it with. The focus is a bit wonky at times but it’s not a big problem, there is parts of the camera other brands might be better at (like the settings). but a camera for that price (its usually 400 - 600 £ on amazon from where I am) I would say it’s worth it. the Bluetooth app that’s for transferring pictures straight to my phone from the camera and the 180 degrees flip screen are both SUPER clear and convenient! It’s already that good for me while I’m still using the starting lens cuz I’m poor :’)

I have the D5300 & @ 3:56 in this video you said that the SD card on the D5300 goes underneath where the battery goes & that's not true. My Nikon D5300 SD card in on the right side, exactly where you just pointed it out on the D5600. I just wanted to mention that because what you said is misleading.

I typically see the D5600 with a VR telephoto lens, while the D5300 typically isn't sold with one. I once read that if one is going to consider a camera, don't bother with a non-VR telephoto lens. What do you think? I was impressed enough with the d5300 review, then I saw this one and was sold up until you said it was not for amateurs on vacation, where I am looking for a camera to challenge me and grow into.
