No eye tracking or ginormous megapixels just beautiful moments. You have a real connection with people, a skill that makes people relax which creates an enviroment of possibilities, a great tool like the D3 and knowing how to get the best out of it. Stunning work Claire.

PS hard to choose just colour or B&W but i'm a sucker for a B&W for emotional images, they strip away all distractions and focus on the moment

Thank you very much for your encouraging comment and compliment to my work 🙏⭐️ It means a lot! And YESSSS you hit the nail on the head with the B&W!!!!! Colour can be a distraction! You see something deeper with black and white!! I was nodding reading your comment! 😄✊️👌👍

Great video Claire! I still shoot weddings with a Nikon D4S and a pair of D700s and enjoy the output from these older DSLRs. Once a great camera. always a great camera and the D3 seems to be not missing a beat!

Interesting! Some very good tips and an interesting range of image types from traditional to almost abstract. I have done a lot of weddings over the years both on film and on video ( yes, I did say film!). Now that everyone uses digital it is all to easy to shoot hundreds of pictures and hope that you get an album's worth of good ones. But if you know what you are doing, as you clearly do, you shoot less and spend more time getting it right which inevitably gives you more one to one with the sitters and that increases your reputation enormously. A couple of tips of my own would include : always expose for the dress, it cost them a lot of money and it'll never be seen again! But to make that easier, avoid the dress being part sunlit and part shade unless it is backlit to give that romantic glow; in street shots you will always have trouble with convergence and perspective but if verticals such as lampposts and other street furniture are straight then the perspective looks natural even if it's wonky. However, sometimes deliberate wonkiness can be very effective and your last image of this video, the portrait of the bride, is all the more effective by tilting the image so that she is sitting upright and allowing the background to lean over. Great shot! My favourite types of image were the intimate portraits in a glamorous setting. You couldn't really fail in Bath but I once did a wedding in Merthyr Tydfil and we drove to the Brecon Beacons for the portraits....a week later! This was one time that the bride DID get to wear her dress for a second time.

Love hearing about the bride wearing the dress again! I did a "trash the dress without trashing it" shoot once 😄😄
