The image quality is far superior to the 18-300mm Michael. Ok the price is a bit higher but not much.

Tom; Excellent review! Love this lens.I use it with Nikon D5200. Going on a trip to Rome in October. For daytime use, ok to use a Polaroid lens with this and just shoot with it on, during daylight hours? (Or better to use a ND filter?) Thanks, R.

just got one thought it would be a good all around my zoom is stiff at about 50-70mm up and WHEN FULLY EXTENDED there is a slight side to side ? wobble to it ,not much but enough I can feel it shift in the camera hand is this normal all my other zooms a re a single tube not two as this one ~ photos seem OK

Why does the 18-200mm cost more than the 18-300mm ?

Does this also take Macro Photo's?

I think that 18- 300 is better ;) for macro
