A comparison of the OG Kobe 8’s to these. Different rubber compound and Chris from Weartesters has criticized Kobe’s protros some compared to the OG’s and these are a little heavier, I’d be interested in your in-depth review of both. 2. A vlog series where you go to a coach/trainer for basketball. I think it would also help you put shoes through tests that more closely mimic the movements of people who play basketball, plus would be entertaining. (This is not a criticism, you’ve said yourself that tennis is your main sport.)

As an OG kobe8 fan, I've enjoyed the protro 8s I've been able to get. I have a wide foot and it didn't require break in time which was fantastic. First shoe I've worn in a while without pain.

Try doing an X-Ray with your foot on it Doc, maybe it'll give us all a good loot at the fit

Runners Knots are a game changer for me. I never dealt with heel slippage ever again since I been doing them. All my low cuts lock my ankles in super good now

Can you re-review the Kobe 6 Protro with your new system? I’d love to hear your take on “which is the best Kobe ever? The 6 or the 8?”

Its between the 5 and the 6. The 5 imo has more support and is a bit heavier than the 6. But the 6 is lighter so its really preference in the end.

I went full size on it as a 2E like it says on ur video and it feels so nice going full size as 2E and I Hope you can review the Kobe 4 n 5 in the future.

Had an original pair of Kobe 8s back in the day. Felt super light and great on foot but there was zero impact protection lol. Felt like these “Protros” were a big miss on Nike’s end. Could have easily given us some zoom or max air to beef up the cushioning but cant cut too much into profit margins…

Glad i still got the OG 8s insoles they are the best i switch the gt cut 1, 2 with the kobe 8 insoles makes the gt cut 2 great and the 1

I’m a fan of the x-ray view. It’s a great way to see the full shank inside the shoe when the cross-section doesn’t tell the full story.

Yeah I mean if it helps even 2-3 people make a buying decision instead of having to process returns it’s worth it - honestly the only reason I don’t on these is because they’re so limited and so many people want a pair so I’d rather keep them in circulation but if and when Nike starts making them as available as the KD’s or Sabrina’s for example, then yeah I’ll start cutting them and doing the full teardowns

Always been a Kobe 9 or 6 fan myself. But the newer (protro) for the price is a pass for me. Still have 3 KB9 and 2 KB6’s that are gym only pairs. I’m good.

Nike shoes almost always get the worst reviews from Zach. Why? Because other companies are doing better. Simple as that. Not sure why Nike has gone so downhill in quality. But other companies have overtaken them, and that’s made very clear when he does these takedowns. Can’t thank Zach enough for showing the true value of each shoe.

Love the added protein on these shoes, helps keep me satiated for hours

i have the venice beaches in a 10.5 and honestly i’m kinda disappointed. Even with first trying them on i don’t like how unstable they feel. They look amazing, but no where near the performance level i want. Probably going to get the AC 12 and harden 8s.

honestly, for the price there are newer nike lines that are comparable and better for cheaper. people reselling them for crazy prices just for the name and the fact that nike promotes this by limiting them is even worse..

They didn’t do this shoe justice, I feel the originals were better fitting and just better in general. That lunarlon drop in was perfect minus the durability of course.

Dude- the work I had to put in to get a pair was insane- it should be here soonish - never had to work so hard to buy a shoe for more than retail…

I have a pair of the “Halo” 8 protros and unfortunately it’s an unplayable model for me. I have a 2E flat foot and that carbon fiber shank digs into the middle of my arch

Kobes have been the exception to the rule out of respect for Kobe, Gigi, and what the shoes mean to so many people. He didn’t cut a new pair of the Kobe 6 Mambacita Protro either, but he did buy an old, beat up single of the same shoe to dissect.
