The OG janoski came with leather laces that N E V E R ripped. I skated them religiously for a year and a half before the shoes were busted but those laces lasted longer than my mental health.

You should do vans authentic high pros next ! They are underrated af, Andrew Allen rocks them hard! Plus I find them really good looking on feet

review skating barefoot, and if it hurts your feet when taking impact just duck tape those insoles you love to your feet.

The Janowski is just my favorite shoe.

I'm such a fan for they og versión

I find that this style of shoe, with laces starting high up the bridge of your foot, hurt my feet when the shoe bends. My feet are quite wide with a high bridge so I prefer a more classic late 90's early 2000's style with a nice rounded toe cap 👍😊 ......also some of these style shoes have a choice of how you can lace them up. Loops are hidden on the inside of the standard eyelets to prevent them from breaking.

The Vans full cab will not last longer than the half cab, they'll last the same. If you want shoes that last a long time I'd recommend staying away from Vans.

Really not enough variation in grip tape. As long as you get a name brand it should be fine. If its too grippy just sand it down

If you honestly want to get into laces, be sure to offer at least two lengths! (you obviously need a lot more lace with Van's than a pair of Janoskis) that way you keep the eyelet but don't have 10 inches of extra lace hanging over.

For the laces try using super glue/ crazy glue. I did it for my janoskis and the laces are nowhere near ripping.
