I hated the 1. The 2 are brilliant. I can hit mp easily. Is it harder? Yes. Is it heavy? Yes. Does it matter....no. its a daily trainer with no plate.

@@andydevinewine always interesting to see everyone’s perspectives and experiences with shoes… the 1 and 2 felt exactly the same to me, aside from the upper being a bit softer/breathable on the 2. Other than that, felt 1 to 1 to me. These 3s are decent, need to put in more miles on them though

Can no longer run due to multiple surgeries but I walk daily and for me v1,v2 are the most comfortable of all the shoes I’ve tried.
I own the first version, so, I can relate to everything that was said about these shoes. But that's exactly what makes these shoes by far the best shoes for a particular type of run. I am not a performance runner. I do not care about speed, miles, etc. Running for me is a way of relaxing, connecting with the body, a form of meditation if you will. I am running with the pace between 7 - 8 min/km, for 3 - 5 km, focusing on the form and rhythm of the movement. I have tried all the most notable cushioned shoes out there and they pretty much perform on a comparable level and I would say very well. None of them really stand out. Until you try the Nike ZoomX Invincible. It's just a different world, a literally unique experience. You might not like it, it might not suit you but that's beyond the point. I use other shoes as well, and every time I put the ZoomX Invincible on I can notice the difference. And that's the point. You cannot but notice the difference. It is something you cannot miss. Like it or not. And, indeed, this experience breaks as soon as you try to get any kind of performance out of them. I would not be surprised if trying to run fast in these would cause injuries. So, the point is, if you want to go ice skating then you won't be using skies. Giving skies a 5 out of ten for not performing well on flat ice is missing the point. Someone in the comments called these shoes "one dimensional". Indeed. But in that single, limited dimension, nothing comes close to them. In that respect, I would say these shoes are probably the most dominant shoes in their category of all the shoes out there. In fact, they are probably the only shoes in that category.

Exactly my thoughts on the shoe. I hated running up until I tried out the Invincible 1s, those shoes are life changing and I beat them up for 400 miles now. Was looking to upgrade into the 3s and despite the mixed reviews I wanna give them a try.
I’m sorry Chris, I love watching your videos, but this one made me want to scream so much! I couldn’t disagree anymore with Si’s opinion! Also, with the added stability, you should have given them a try. It felt like a completely unjustified hatchet 🪓 biased review on a popular shoe! I get we are all entitled to our own opinions. But we can’t all be wrong! The refined upper changes are amazing apart from the heel area. I’m sorry but the Zoom x on the Invincible is the best most responsive out of all the running in this category. I haven’t tried the Nimbus 25 but have had the Novablast 3 which I’m sorry is underwhelming, overrated slappy and too warm shoe with a useless slippy outsole! Hope you come back with another review as people listen and value your reviews and I don’t think it’s a fair reflection!

Oh. I have the opposite of view of you on this. I have both shoes but I am more in line with Fordy. ZoomX feel dead whereas NB3 feel great for me. It just shows we are all built differently.
@gavinclarkemusic

@@MrJermson yea each to their own and all that. But the FFBlast+ on the Novablast 3 is just not doing it for me and don’t get the hype. I’ve had Novablast 2 and 3 now, and I don’t feel like I want to run that long in it! The Invincible 3 is a divisive shoe, I get that, but the Zoom x is definitely not dead and dull, I just don’t agree! it’s more assisting and effortless once you get into a good running rhythm. If you liked the previous Invincible then you will like this version, if you didn’t get along with it before, then it’s unlikely you will change your opinion 👍

@@FordyRuns fair play mate 👍 I am just a bit irked the tone of the video will make the Invincible 3 sound like a joke of a shoe! I know you muck about and have banter in your vids and if that’s how it makes you feel, fair enough. I know Si is just responding to your questions. But you know a lot of people take your views as gospel truth, when it’s clear you haven’t tried the shoe yourself due to previous injury experiences from V1. All I’d say is give it a chance! ✌️ 😬
Looking forward to the Nimbus 25 review tomorrow. Pulled the trigger on a pair after your guidance last night. Sports shoes had 15% offer off asics so £148, still dear but more reflective of other offerings

Love Bens impartial review of the shoe Paula gave him at the Nike event and that's sold by pro direct who sponsor Ben!
I think this version will work for me. I would use it for easy/recovery and slow long runs and that is what the shoe is intended for I believe. It seems to be a cross between Infinity Run OG (upper) which I liked a lot and still use for walking, and Invincible Run. I like more stability, as I didn't get along with uncontrolled wild bounce of 1/2. Chris, I think you felt the same way about v1/2 bounce. The outsole is going to last a lot too and seems to have a good traction. But I am definitely not paying US$180. I will wait for a good discount later in the year!
I think that we're reaching a moment where we have so many shoes that are lighter and still comfortable enough for easy/recovery days that buying this kind of heavy shoes is only for the ones that really love them... currently, I have in my rotation endorphin speed 3 and novablast 3, and both can handle easy/recovery days without all this weight.... and also long runs for sure

Interesting, lots of mixed comments….I’ve not got the V3 yet. To sum up the Nike Invincible V1 and 2 - this is the shoe to use on a Sunday long run after a tough week training and you need your legs fresh and protected to go again the following week. It keeps me at a sustainable pace.

I feel similar to you both. I think the only positive if this show is also it’s downfall. It’s a SLOOOOOOW cruiser.. it’s one dimensional. It was written off by almost everyone as a runner shoes, but I feel the turbo next nature is a great lifestyle sneakers, cool design, cool colors, light and very good for walking after a bit of breaking in to stretch the upper. This invincible shoes quite honestly look like an orthopedic boot when you put them on, not particularly comfy, heavy and huge. Funny the 1 and 2 while looking even worse design wise looked way better on feet.

It's fair to want a shoe that can satisfy multiple purposes. But let's be honest, many of us are shoe crazy and will take any excuse to add a new pair into the rotation for some reason or other. Trashing a pair of shoes for only excelling at one kind of workout is disingenuous if you already keep 3 or more pairs of shoes in your rotation.
@TolunayOrkun
Жыл бұрын
@@FordyRuns well if it doesn't work out, you can definitely use them as a causal shoe. But I think if you give a fair shot it might work for you. It is definitely not a speed day shoe, but you can comfortably do long runs in it and that outsole traction should be good in UK.
I had some v1's - they were good in a marshmallow pavement slapping way for really easy runs. I didn't have any stability issues as they were 6 foot wide. They did eat some of the pounding so were quite kind to my arthritic knees, but just felt so clumpy and uninspiring, so I've never felt the need to check out the newer versions
I personally like it, as per the previous models. I don’t mind a heavier shoe but it’s all personal preference

Invincible 3 don’t have a shank plate, let alone a carbon shank, so you won’t get the spring/feedback like the racing models, but it is the best all around shoe. I can wear these as daily drivers for light/medium runs then to the grocery store, and lastly, probably help a friend move homes. Love these shoes.
Interested to see how he fairs after 50ish miles. I have the version 2s and hated them to start with, but persevered and after about 50 miles they were much better. Ended up getting around 450 miles out of them!

Lot of you guys love them
V3 worth an upgrade over the V2? No....but for people who couldn't handle the stability of the V1/2, the V3 might expand the number of runners who can use the shoe. My V2's are at 140KM on 6 runs, pure LR shoe only. If I need to inject pace on my LR's I'll wear the Tempo Next%, and for daily it's either the Mizuno Wave Rider25 for pure easy runs, or easy with strides probably the Endo Speed 3 (no longer like the shoe for threshold anymore, they just over tamed it).

interesting thank you!
A huge letdown. The heel slip is crazy, the upper is a sweat box, and the increased outsole and attempts to further stabilise the shoe have lost the untamed fun of Vs 1 & 2 in the process. I purchased the Nimbus 25 very shortly after my first run in the Invincible 3s.

@@FordyRuns I don't mean to be overly negative and throw accusations, but your channel does have a certain relationship with Nike products, which is totally fine. I was hoping they’d make it lighter
I bought a pair of version 2 last summer just out of morbid curiosity, I’d say comfortable to walk in or use as a boot if you have a broken leg, but running in them didn’t work for me, plus on pavement they sounded like a wet squid falling down the stairs.
That's interesting, because everyone is complaining about the heel slip in the Invincible 3, and that the nimbus 25 has gone backwards in versatility... 🤔 But the invincible 3 is 190 euro, and the nimbus 25 200, so neither are at the top of my list at the moment. It looks like Nike managed to ruin another good shoe.

Infinity Run OG had heel slip issues for some people (not me) and it didn't have extra runner knot loop lace holes. This one does. Ben Parkes (runner/shoe tuber) solved his slip by using the runner knot. RoaadTrailRun didn't experience heel slip. At least there is a solution if you experience it.
@theghostofpcs2391

@@TolunayOrkun Well, I have this weird thing, that I have heel slip in most of my shoes, but only on the left foot... In some shoes the runners knot works for me, in others it's uncomfortable on top of my foot. Or it may not work at all. And there are shoes where I can fix it without using a runners knot. I'm a bit wary of shoes that have heel slip for people who normally don't experience it. The shoe getting wider is another possible problem for me, because my feet sometimes touch each other when running.
@TolunayOrkun
Жыл бұрын
@@theghostofpcs2391 Definitely you might want to buy it direct from Nike as you can send it back easily. I think the tongue padded and high enough to take the pressure of runner's knot in this case.
