@@shadoface Lol no. Whether they graduated or got terminated, Niji retains rights to everything (model, merchandise etc.), you didn't see leaked unsigned contract? So yeah, they can use it without their permission and they did before. They were still selling Selen merchandise or something for some time after her termination. The only way to stop them , would be taking them to court and proving that their contracts were illegal and thus void.

@@shadoface That case cited she needed permission from the graduates for the use of their likeness which Nijisanji OWNS. Which means the reason for the delay is BS. Voices however are not owned by Nijisanji so they do need permission to use it. HOWEVER, given their track record, it's very unlikely. It's probably a part of their graduation clause that they can use any recording of their voices created during their tenure in perpetuity. They're assholes like that.

If you're talking about one of the worst timings in Nijisanji history, it has to be Gura's return simultaneously with the AR event. Talk about a BUUUUUUUURN for the burning yacht.

@@Fyrexsama To be fair Hololive reinvests into the company and talents however Nijisanji we realistically don't know where the money is going but it is clear they are not reinvesting as they do make a lot in the first place considering the cut the talents gets. We only assume the money is going towards Yachts as that is what most rich million or billionaires buy. Like most of the hate is because Niji shows that they just do not care which is weird as if you want the most money as possible you HAVE to reinvest into it and not be lazy about it. Like better equipment, better tracking, better models, stuff like that especially for a big concert as they have been doing this for years so they have the money for it. Niji is just not reinvesting which pisses people off, sure for smaller companies and indies it is passable but Niji is one of the top 3 top 2 if not counting VShojo so Niji has no excuse to just be lazy. It really is a different culture type of feel as no one likes it not even some Japanese people. Really Niji should have never left Japan as the west does not tolerate greedy corporate bs and the stocks dropping really show

I'm a former Kindred. Vox has a tendancy to run his mouth too much and say some very dumb things without thinking. There was a time where he got Reimu in trouble during one of his ASMR streams by talking to her during the stream and it resulted in her getting attacked by his fans. He didn't stop his fans until much later when he was called out for it.

The same people who were saying this was the best things they have ever seen, are also the people who are happy with karaoke "concerts" that niji did where they are glorified pngs that spin in a circle as the exciting content. If they like it fine, but it was pretty trash especially for being in the works over the course of 15 months. Niji fans, like the talents themselves, deserve better and Niji will never put any more than the bare minimum back into any talents, but they will savor the scraps of trash and praise it.

Y'all also must not have even noticed that Yugo's voice was NOT in Stuck in the Abyss when Noctyx sang...Uki sang Yugo's parts. So, either Yugo didn't give permission or they didn't ask them and chose to do it without them considering the way that Yugo's contract ended with the company. back in 2021 i always saw comments like nijisanji is better something like that..thank god i never like any nijisanji livers ,, and i just continue watching hollolive 🤣

Anytime she streams recently it’s either directly as a Niji liver is streaming or right after and it’s been consistent like this since the Dokie bird incident, it can’t be a coincidence at this point.

i mean chances are some niji liver is streaming at all times. Also, the AR concert was announced a couple of weeks ago, but gura only announced she was streaming the day before. Its way more likely hololive nudged her to stream.

The fact that Gura had more over Niji's concert was really amazing to see. Her collab with SNOT was hilarious!

Just here to laugh at Niji and cheer for Gura. The Fulgar part is kind of a feel good story, though. Can't deny that.

My biggest gripes are easily of using people's voices who are no longer associated with the company, willingly or otherwise. It's like dangling the fact the people will NEVER escape the scars the company made on their lives even if they could easily cut off the audio.

No screenshots? 😂 Even holo allows screenshots of the paid portion of holofes at least. 😂

A reminder that the 3D in V4Mirai and Re:AcT are far better than Nijisanji's excuse for 3D and then you have a couple of Phase Members who have 3D with more soul than Nijisanji has. There were a few Niji members in the Precure concert I went to last December and compared to what Polka and Tamaki had, their 3D looked outdated (and this is the JP side not EN). Also, Niji is lazy, seriously they didn't even both to edit out Pomu's singing.

Back when AC was still IK they did lead the pack technologically. They fumbled the ball along the way. Now it's like Cover and Kamitsubaki/Sinsekai are in a league of their own and everyone else is close behind.....then there's AC....below many indies I've seen do lives in VR Chat/Cluster worlds.

Maybe, but the fact that Mumei was a part of it made a lot of people happy. Also, remember when Niji stuff leaked a long time ago and it was them talking crap about council and how it failed? Maybe it wasn't malicious, but it was satisfying for a lot of people seeing them beat Niji.

Basically my take from what I've seen/heard. Visuals weren't great by today's standards but was very enjoyable by those who are fans of Niji but absolutely not worth the price if you aren't a big Nijifan.

It's not even worth the price if you were a big fan as it is a reused thing from a cancelled project so no passion. They should have just redone it not use old footage that they had to edit the talents that no longer work there out

The gura stream was most likely not on purpose considering the same SNOT stream was done over an outfit update for Irys.

Compare the CCV for rhe AR 'live' vs Gura's stream. They challenged Gura and failed miserably. The 'free' portion is pathetic.

It would take some pretty strong evidence to convince me they were sitting on those 3D models for over a year. I'm convinced they must've started work on those right at the peak of Selen's termination when they realise they needed something to try to win back hearts and minds. These models were slapped together until they were 'Good Enough' and then copied and pasted the motion capture data from last year onto it!!

I'm no longer in the Niji fandom since 3/4 of the vtubers I like are gone but I feel like people are either misunderstanding or are willfully ignorant of what happened. I keep seeing people talk about how Mysta and Pomu's voices were used but Selen was terminated for similar things. These are not the same things. The AR Live event was run by AnyColor(as far as I'm aware), the owner of the IP rights. And was recorded over 15 months ago. AnyColor has every right to use those recordings. Whether or not it's FAIR doesn't matter. That's just how IP rights work. As for the quality of the actual event, I didn't watch so I can't judge but I'm happy for the fans and the livers whose work didn't completely go to waste.
