I’m really happy to have seen and heard about Jukka. I tend to think of him anytime I listen to Nightwish especially everything he played on.

Oh well, Nightwish was that "something" that helped me overcome Cancer, just in time to attend to the human nature concert so, yeah Nightwish is my escape from reality sometimes ❤

Same here ❤..because of my chronic disease I haven't been able to go to a concert since the first time I rediscovered them almost 5 years ago..still struggling a lot and I hope I'll be able to go to a concert once they tour again some time in the future! 🤞But yes, Nightwish helps me immensely to escape from reality when I need to 🥰

I love my MLB, so I would likely go nuts trying to figure out this Finnish game. Hanging with Jukka and Tuomas would be a great way to do it. I have always wanted to see more of the bandmembers lives. Floor shows us as much as she can---can't help but love that woman. I'm glad the others have agreed to spend a little time with us. I like these behind-the-scenes clips. Really looking forward to my overseas shipment from Backstage Rock Shop.

The Finnish game is based on baseball, so the principles are not that difficult to understand if you know baseball. (Atlanta Braves fan here btw) Although it is true that there are such changes made to baseball rules that tactics and flow of the game are different. One Finnish man visited America around 1910, he liked baseball and thought that it could be used to keep soldiers fit in Finnish National Guard, but he felt that for that there should be more running in the game. So to increase running in the game he thought he has to make pitching easier for batters so that they make it into running part. (Baseball batting average about 30% vs. Finnish baseball close to 100%). This means there are rarely strike outs in Finnish baseball but instead nearly always batters are put out while trying to reach to 1st, 2nd, 3rd or home base. When the pitches were made so much easier for the batter, he had to change other rules so that every batter does not simply hit the ball out of ballpark and make a home run. He decided that he puts foul territory behind outfield (315 feet away from batter), which forces batters to hit the ball lower, between the infielders and outfielders, not high and 'over the fence if possible' like in baseball. He made fair territory sector more narrow (in baseball 90 degrees, in Finnish game 61 degrees). And he made increasing distances between bases, making it harder for runner to advance base after base. (in baseball 85 feet between each base, in Finnish game 65 feet to 1st base, 105 feet from 1st to 2nd, 118 feet from 2nd to 3rd and finally 134 feet from 3rd to home). If you find that it is the duel between pitcher and batter that is the soul of the game then you do not like Finnish game, because that is not really there anymore. (I know some Americans who felt that the heart of the came had been taken out.) However if you can appreciate what you get instead i.e. carefully aimed hitting and a lot of close calls whether runner or ball gets to a base first then Finnish version has a lot more of that than baseball.

At the skill level at schools, it's not about tactics, it's about if you are able to throw the ball far enough distance. And many failed that part.

What a cool collaboration! That t-shirt design is really nice! Epica did something similar with bicyclist merch sometime ago, so this isn't farfetched, haha. Anyway, I never gave sports a proper chance, but might have to reconsider one day, to get that sense of accomplishment for my body and morale. I'll see how things go! This sure was a nice outlook on things, and it was great seeing Jukka Nevalainen again, enjoying his time there. I can see how this connects to the rest, as it's a return to form, as well as displaying the "better angels of human kind," within the certain arts.

I swear....Tuomas is so grounded, so down to Earth....he's the kind of guy I would definitely be lifelong friends with.

This was a very interesting video. I've never heard of this sport, probably because I'm American. Does the new upcoming album have a song about this?

Kitee town, born place Nightwish, have 10 000 habitant. Those guys support local pesäpallo club "Kiteen Pallo" (pallo=ball) because they want and can. Nightwish support nature in Mexico too. Kitee have Nightwish "museum", band is very important to town. About "pesäpallo", I'm from Finland SW cost so I don't know pesäpallo well. It is not so popular this part country.

TBH, I was expecting to learn something about upcoming album. Explaining sports as a form of escapism did make a lot of sense, though.

So literally the only thing you care about is the music itself, you're not eager to learn how the songs were composed, what inspired Tuomas to write them in the first place? If that's the case, why do you even bother watching the making-of series? Just wait until the album comes out and enjoy the music. No need to leave rude comments.

Especially if they have been active in sports in their yonger years. :) I am glad that Nightwish is not strictly all about music. It gives the band depth when they show their interests outside the music. Naturally you have every right to have your own opinions, but you don't have a say in what the band does in their social media. If it's only the music you want, then it might be a good idea to skip everything else and just focus on the music. Just a suggestion, that you are free to ignore, of course. ;)

@@AndrewMarloweTV They are not gonna fire Kai or ask him to leave just because some people want Jukka back. Jukka made the decision to step down himself and let Kai become a permanent member. He is in much better health now that he doesn't have to tour. He was supposed to make a special appearance in Rock in Rio in 2015, but had to cancel because his insomnia started again even before the trip. He knows his limits now, and is more than happy to be part of the management. :)

Is this a joke? Not only are these videos too short and show very little about the making of the album itself, unlike Endless Forms Most Beautiful "making of" videos. But you also spent an episode talking about Finnish baseball, which has nothing to do with music at all! I don't get it. It doesn't help to increase the anticipation before the album release, it's just annoying.

@@ValtteL These videos are just part of their marketing campaign. They didn’t just decide out of nowhere to share their thoughts with you. They wouldn't be releasing these videos at all if they didn't want to sell you the album. And as a marketing ploy, I think these videos are pretty mediocre (especially this one), since they don't do their main task very well - to increase interest in the upcoming album release.

How do you know it doesn't have anything to do with music? There can be a song dedicated to sports or even pesäpallo in the album. Even if there isn't, it's an inspiration if nothing else. I like hearing these little details much more than some boring old cliches all the interviews are full of. Hopefully next episode will be about Tuomas' cats.

@@GaviaArctica382 Videos like this would be appropriate outside of the promotional campaign for the album - many artists share what is important to them through their social media on a regular basis. But as part of the marketing strategy for the album, I don't understand what their point is? What does pesäpallo have to do with it? If this is important for the concept of the album, then Tuomas could have clarified it, but he didn't. And I think that most fans are waiting for each new video on the eve of the new album's release, obviously not to learn about Finnish sports. Just look in the comments now - no one cares about Tuomas' love for pesäpallo, everyone is just glad to see Jukka again and also want to hear new music.
