After reading the post,I totally understand why. Being a creative person is never all rainbows and unicorns. It sucks but it is true, the urge to move on and explore new ideas is overwhelming. Not doing so can have disasterous mental health effects.

That's a really good interpretation with "the moon's own alleyways at the source of the story, waking up the earth". You captured the poetry.

I've sung this song to my dog when she got scared of thunderstorms. She would hide in my bedroom and I would gently cuddle up with her on my bed while petting her softly and singing this to her so she wouldn't be so scared. Feeling her heartbeat go down was such a relief and she was finally able to go to sleep as the storm went on.

I just love how greatly Marco can handle this kind of songs as well not "only" the harder ones. That's why I love his singing. :-))

I played this for a patient at work who was having trouble sleeping and she was out in less than 1 minute. This song is a god send

The anxiety attacks during my teenage years were insane. For an entire year this song was on repeat every single night. It was the only way for me to sleep.

This song is enchanting. I love it when Nightwish takes a step back from the heavy metal aspect of the band to give us little slices of raw magic. Don't get me wrong! Some of my all-time favorite songs are their power metal centered ones! I just love this kind of music :)

My dad and I bonded over this album and it lead into a shared fascination of music, making songs together, learning instruments, I have to thank this band for getting us on the right track together. Ironically this album about a destroyed relationship between father and son brought this kid and Their father closer together

Don't understand a word, but this has been one of my favourites ever since I bought Imaginaerum. Going down the road, I often have this track on loop.

I used this song for my Baba Yaga project in my 3rd year College English course (mythology) - as background music because I loved it so much and I loved the story of Baba Yaga so much. My prof. was thoroughly impressed by the song

I was used to lullaby my niece with this song when she was a baby, it's awesome the power that this song has in her sleep. Was awesome

I commented this vídeo like 6 years ago or something like that... Now my 2 year old daughter falls asleep listening to this masterpiece.

This song gives me a certain peace in these unquiet times...

I stand in awe of the everlasting beauty of a story whose words I cannot understand and where the melody has to do the telling. This little song is so immersive. I have written out the words to try and sing along. I totally fail yet it is so absorbing and mesmerizing every single time that I play and 'feel' the words.

somehow got back here after a solid few years of not listening. I still know the lyrics by heart. Goosebumps all over

I do believe one of the influences for this album was Tim Burton, that's what Tuomas said in an interview I think.

Ive been feeling sick with my chest pressing and hurting this afternoon but i dont want to go to the hospital i think that if i die i want to be next to my girl and my pet and not alone in a room, anyway im just gonna listen to this song all this rainy afternoon. It would be a nice weather and a nice song to die in case my heart decides to stop or something like that. I also played it when my grandpa died... Indeed its a beautiful song ...

MsTytti yeah. i got this, but thanks. I guess most scandinavians dont worship them even more as well. But one of the qualities of gods are godly powers which are said to be quite powerful. I think that understanding and speaking every human language is quite something of a basic skill gear for gods of all kind ;) And besides, you know the name of the album, dont sou? So why are norse gods singing finnish songs so much of a problem? (besides that the original poster obviously didnt knew that those mentioned gods never have been worshipped by Finns)

Well, this is partially due to the absolute uniqueness of the Finnish language. The Finnish Language only shares traits with Estonian and some regional minority languages. The Finnish language came to be from tribes in that area without outside influence, unlike English for example, which evolved from French, French from Latin and Latin from Greek. This uniqueness results in people being unable to recognize any part of the language and, understandably so, labeling it as a fantasy language.

Also I think Finnish was an important influence on Tolkien when he was making up the elvish languages for his books, that's why it may feel somewhat similar.
