They all have some seriouz skillzz. Emppu is probably the most underrated from the whole band, but when listening to old NW songs, his solo stuff and solos he did in Barilari project, he really is very good guitarist.It would be so nice to hear some very technical cover from them, like "Through the fire and flames" by Dragonforce =P

I consider that song to be a mini-opera...metal, of course.

Floor just powers over 82,000 people, a metal band playing at full throttle and singing notes that are insanely high, crystal clear with perforce diction. She’s awesome! 🤘

Here's something most people dont say: Floor is a literal powerhouse, vocally. In Wacken Open Air 2013, she sang a 90-minute set -- including Ever Dream and Ghost Love Score -- and her voice did not show any signs of fatigue, until the very last vocal part, of the last song (Last Ride of the Day). And she sings notes like that, the whole show, including growling and high operatic notes.

React to Phantom of the Opera, with the Original Singer "Tarja" The Best voice Performance of Marko.

Suzi - those lenses are unnerving! 😬 Floor is a Condor - she soars above everything, completely at ease, like it ain't no thang! No unnecessary vocal embellishments like Aguilera or Carey - she does what the song needs. She and the boys would be overburdened with Grammys if there was any justice for Metal in the music industry

I have to agree. Although they might put them in a special classical category, because Tuomas is a true composer of genuine art. Their music is High Theater, grand scores for epic block busters. They are Thoroughbreds amidst cart horses. I think that a Grammy committee would be flummoxed about what to do with them.

Emppu is underrated, he slays it always. His solos don't have any jumping around or Angus Young antics, he plays calm and focused, every note perfect. Angus Young is a freak that can jump around and hit every note perfectly.

@@insanerhardstyle5872 Yeah usually lead guitarists get all the solo glory and all the dramatic flourishes, bassists have to keep up a steady background rhythm I guess. Marko is so flamboyant and sings as well being a great compliment to Floor so he's front and centre often. Plus he looks like some kind of Viking vampire lol.

7:00 Yes! Giving Empuu some love! Dude is horribly underappreciated as a guitarist. Dude can shred his ass off and can do the restrained melodic stuff as well. A great example of a guitar player who plays for what the song requires. Even though he doesnt always get the limelight, he is obviously having the time of his life up there night after night! He is also a prankster on stage. In the Wacken video for I Want My Tears Back, he manages to get Floor's in-ear monitors and you can see her laughing and "dancing trying to keep him in front of her for the instrumental part of the song😆

Notice how the crowd ( Nightwish Army) when Floor handed over the lyrics to the crowd, then crowd was singing along then went into screams and yells of excitement knowing what’s coming next. Then every camera panning of the crowd their sing along with the band. Each band member has said in different interviews that the incredible energy they get to substain they’re infectious energy comes from the crowd , the has their backs. Agree. It's an exchange between the crowd, and the band, and that with their love of music and that everyone is there for the same reason, keeps the energy going in perpetual motion and creates an incredible unison of feeling that is unmatched. Love everything there is about Nightwish - and mostly who they are, as very special people in this world :)

emppu is such an underrated guitar player. he sneaks little things in that shows hes amazing. just not a showboat.

So much went into this performance starting in Sept/Oct the previous year and everything converged on the Wacken stage filmed before a huge audience. I enjoy Floor's lower register but her mid and high registers is where she makes her money, she has commented she has lungs like a deep sea diver (paraphrase) so holding and expanding on those notes is common for her. Good reaction guys and the stuff you are putting out of your own material is killer.

Yep, I read that she compared her lungs to a deep-sea diver! She also keeps herself very fit and she's pointed out that being a tall woman, she's got a larger chest - more space, bigger lungs. While it's true about the larger lung capacity cos of her height, she still seems to hold notes longer than a lot of men of the same size so I suspect that's it's more about her being awesome than her height. I swear, I've heard her sustain a note for so long that I wondered if she was breathing through her ears.

THIS is the song that made me love them. THIS is the song that told me that Tuomas KNEW what went on in my head. SPOOKY! And others will have recommended High Hopes. It is AMAZING! It makes this old broad damp behind the knees. If you appreciate the true classics, you must haul it out and react!

Her power. 😯 Also, that bass Marko plays... 👹 I want one, and I don't care how much it costs.

Saw them 2 times at Lowlands Festival in The Netherlands. This is one of my favorite songs of Nightwish together with Nemo. You should also react to some songs of Epica because they are awesome too, phantom agony studio version is great one to watch

Another excellent reaction to Nightwish!! So - you guys have reacted to the last song at Wacken 2013 ("Last Ride of the Day") so now how about reacting to the Wacken opener. "Dark Chest of Wonders"? It's about how you would expect Nightwish to open a show - full throttle, amazing musicianship, and lights / pyro. And when Floor makes her entrance, she immediately owns all 82,000 people in attendance.

When one looks up "Perfect, stunning live performance", there should just be a link to the entire Nightwish Wakken 2013 show.

Everdream one of the best from that gig (along with all the others!) because of that INSANE crowd reaction. The momentum built up by the end of the track is just crazy. When Marko is still singing the previous line and Floor is halfway through the next, its just so good.

I absolutely love you guys's reactions. You have such unbridled enthusiasm about the Nightwish thing. I'm just happy that the world is finally realizing how good Nightwish really is. Have a good Sunday

Ok, you do realize that your reaction to Marco's "Voice of my father" that you did yesterday is the same Marco here? He is known throughout Finland as "THE Voice of Finland". Troy sings too. Plus, Tuomas, his wife( a very popular singer in Finland), and Troy all sing and perform together in another group. All of the band members play with multiple bands and have solo careers.
