I finished the first book, the Name of the Wind during Covid. It was like nothing I've read before, and it's saying a lot since I'm a major bookworm. This song gave me the chills, and I love this so much

I read the second book first then got the first one, and the order I read them in was actually perfect, made then end of the first book a little predictable but still amazing! So happy to find this song

Well, unless you're fake Edema Ruh that is. Then be aware of Kvothe. No but, seriously, seeing one of your favorite bands writing a song about one of your favorite books is priceless.

I did the opposite, reading the books lead me to google "edema ruh" and this video came up. Such amazing books.

My favorite band, names a song based off my favorite book series. Life is good.

I swear I had no idea what this was about, then I randomly picked up The Name of the Wind at an airport, and on the plane I was playing Edema Ruh on headphones when I read the word. I was like.. ooooohh.

I had just started the book when this album came out. I was like, "That's strange. I wonder if the Edema Ruh are part of mythology or historical Scandinavian culture..." Nope, just a coincidence of timing for me.

I had to look up what edema ruh meant and listen to the lyrics of the song and I was like ooooooh! It's really good about the old bards that would go from town to town singing all their songs. And that's pretty much what touring is that's exactly what Nightwish does. And because I'm a nurse in the US edema means something totally different. It means a swelling of fluid that can happen anywhere in the human body. So I was very surprised to hear what it meant in a different language. Great song!

I am 65 years old and even though I don’t look like I am a fan of this band and other symphonic metal bands (Delain, Within Temptations) I love this! The music is ageless!

I am 64 years young....and found Nightwish ( by chance, or was it meant to be? ) during the first lock downs in 2020. I am disabled and don't get out very much, but when I did, it really helped keep my spirits up. As an artist, I would get my inspiration from nature. Being kept away from nature made it rough on me! Nightwish has helped inspire me...so many of the songs have helped my creativity and keep me happy! This song....you can't listen them and not be happy!

Agree with that! She's genius and reading her musical history up to when they (Nightwish) called her as an emergency to WACKEN 2013 and how it lead her to be the new singer, just wow. Made me respect her even more. I found out about her because I like EPICA

and she likewise! She gave them the perfect singer and they gave her...the world 🤣 Everyone forgets she was a burned out wreck when Nightwish gave her the call up. We would probably never have seen Floor again if not for them needing a replacement for a pregnant Anette and a massive leap of faith later she has a husband and couple of kids as well as a blossoming solo career.

Phenomenal band they deserve all the love they get and then some ,I am so happy to have heard them before I die . thank you so much nightwish .

This song, this music, describes pretty accurately how I imagine the Edema Ruh whenever I read The Kingkiller Chronicle.

One more reason why Nightwish is AMAZING!!!!!!

I just got to see them at a small venue two weeks ago, and this was one of my favorite songs they did live. I also got to meet Marko and Troy. They were very cool and gracious, especially since my city was the second to the last stop on their North American tour. They were exhausted, but greeted fans after the show. I am still on a fangirl high.

Birmingham, AL Everyone was beside themselves that Nightwish was even here. I am consistently disappointed at the lack of cool bands that will come down here. I even told Marco that, because I was so excited to be talking to him face-to-face. He was so funny, because he apologized for the lack of coolness. :-) lol

mofrakker It was my first favorite on the album, but I've since added several (all) to my list.

I used this song for my son's birthday retrospective video. It was a great combination with his photos before we sing "Happy Birthday". An unforgettable 5 minute video.

This was honestly such an emotional moment to find out that one of your favorite band had a song about your favorite books of all time. And I had listened the album a few times before reading the titles of the songs xD.

Nightwish makes Metal great again! Many bands need to hang it up, many new bands need to just stop. Nightwish keeps getting better. Finally with Floor they can achieve their success in the U.S. they deserve. People are starting to wake up and realize what a great band this is, something the rest of the world already knew.

This melody carries such a strong emotion.... :")))
