I lost my grandfather when I in high school and I saw him every day for 9 months and always told him I loved him before I left to go home. I can honestly say I have no regrets because he knew I loved him, did everything I could and he loved me. Always tell your people you love them. You never know when it will be the last time you see them.

It did me too and made me cry. I'm in Australia and I remember it like it was yesterday. I'm still angry at the fact that the government didn't send in the military to help people get to high ground on the first day after the hurricane hit. Intravenous antibiotics and daily wound care would have prevented this beautiful lady loosing her leg. Something so simple that wasn't provided is shameful. A class action should be put together for those that were forgotten by their government.

They remind me of my grandparents (they'll have their 55 anniversary in 2 years). My grandpa is more stubborn, but the more rational, calm type. My grandma is the more energetic type. They argue, but it's never mean. My grandpa jokes about that. I love old married couples (the ones that still respect one another)

The first old man chillin af 👏🏻
I love the New Orleans accent❤️
The world need more people like these dudes!
I love the point they made: Medics sometimes have to deal with non-medical circumstances, like electronics.
Having needed them countless times myself, this show DOES an accurate job of showing the loving side of human beings. I don't know how they stay so positive.

Same here. The first time was when I went into anaphylaxis from a bee sting. The same paramedics came back to the hospital with new patients several times that day & made time to stop & ask how I was doing each time.

My heart goes out to them all who still suffer from Katrina
Bless that sweet woman who lost her leg to Katrina. Here in the gulf we have ALL been through storms that have changed our lives. We’ve lost EVERYTHING-our home, our furniture, family heirlooms, pictures, precious memories, and everything in between. But it makes you grateful for what you do have, and that’s family and neighbors that would do anything for you!
These are some wonderful EMTs. God bless to treat their patients w/ such 💕❤️ & humanity is a given, a blessing from God.
I love Dan ,Tittus , holly and nick 😭😭
Such good people. It drove home to me how lucky I am to still have my good health at their age.
I looooove the accents 🙌🏾
They both said “awww man” when the man said get out before it’s too late lmbo
I’m sorry the one when she was as taking the chicken off the stove 😂 he said you cooking chicken I’m screaming ❤️😂

As someone living in a country with public health care, I feel really uncomfortable watching these and knowing that they're probably going to charge these people like a thousand dollars for the ambulance service

A thousand dollars is a cheap ambulance ride in the US. My sister was knocked unconscious in a mugging about 10 years ago in SF and was charged $2k and that was after insurance.
I absolutely love the way they talk to patients that's so awesome.

2nd guy reminds me of my grandparents. Could go through 9 different falls and have broken bones everywhere and still say they're fine.
My second cousin was born during that hurricane. She wasn't supposed to be but she came early in a hospital when the flood waters were rising. So her name is Katrina. My cousin and my lil second cousin had go be evacuated asap after. My cousin still thinks about it, she said it was the scariest moment of her life.
D. Flynn got the 90s soul patch on his chin, like toby mac when he was with DC talk.
I love this show, helping people who are in need of help. Great job.

Big ups to boxhill hospital for helping me that day wean I got punched in the face and my glasses broke in my face so yea needed some glueing but I was more sad coz of the pain and that I was forced into a fight with my best m8 at the time thinks for the nice trip in the ambience and thanks to the nurse that kindly gave me a hug that I needed

You front liners are the best, bless you all who have your heart and soul in the job and for the people you serve. I believe the older patients are the more reluctant at accepting help, I know this first hand having ageing parents one who has passed on due to emphysema and cancer. Thank you so much for all you do especially your compassion for your patients.
My favorite accent man...
I love how everyone in New Orleans call each other "baby", "honey", "sugar" and all those kinda sweet nicknames
I have so much respect for the job you all do, your more than emts thanks for all you do.
